Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Formulai overview
What is Formulai?
Formulai is a cloud-based Microsoft Excel add-in built for FP&A and finance teams. It supports formula generation and verification, variance commentary, reconciliation, financial model health checks, and natural-language data queries — all without leaving the workbook. Variance, reconciliation, and health-check results are computed directly on actual workbook data, not generated by a language model. AI is used to explain computed results and cell logic in plain English, and to generate and verify Excel formulas against the live workbook before any changes are committed.
The add-in covers a full FP&A toolset: budget-vs-actual variance analysis with ranked drivers, two-source reconciliation that surfaces mismatches and duplicate keys, a health check that audits variance packs for broken math and hardcodes, Formula Doctor for tracing cell provenance and flagging risky references, and Explain this Cell for plain-English cell logic breakdowns. Natural-language queries run in a private in-browser database, keeping data rows local; only column headers and computed summaries are transmitted for AI features. Microsoft Single Sign-On (SSO) is supported.
Formulai is available across multiple tiers: a free plan with up to 10 AI requests per month suits occasional spreadsheet users, an unlimited plan targets frequent users and small businesses, and enterprise plans are available for larger organizations. Deployment combines a cloud-based web application with the Excel add-in, with data privacy enforced at the architecture level by keeping raw data rows in the local workbook.
