GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.

GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Gortex overview
What is Gortex?
Gortex is a feed ranking and sponsored placement API for consumer platforms. It handles the decision every platform with a feed, search grid, or discovery page makes on each request: which items to show each user, in what order, and where paid placements go.
How it works
Your platform sends Gortex three things: the user, the surface being rendered, and the candidate items your retrieval layer already produced. Gortex returns those candidates ranked for that user, with sponsored slots filled, in a single response under 200ms p99. It sits between candidate generation and your UI, so you keep your existing catalog, search, and retrieval stack.
Core functions
Personalized ranking: scores each candidate for the specific user and surface in real time using a calibrated ranking model.
Sponsored slot filling: places sponsored items into defined slots in the same call as organic ranking, so paid and organic results come from one decision instead of two systems.
Decision traces: every response includes a trace showing why each item landed where it did, so product and monetization teams can audit results.
Developer tooling: an OpenAPI 3.1 spec and seven typed SDKs. Integration starts with one REST call to POST /v1/decide.
Who uses it
Engineering and product teams at marketplaces, social and creator platforms, dating apps, job boards, and e-commerce sites that would otherwise build and maintain their own ranking and ad placement systems.
