Hatchable is a cloud-based platform that lets individuals and small teams build and host working web apps using AI tools they already own — Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, or any MCP-compatible tool. Users describe an app in plain language, and the platform deploys it live with a Postgres database, passwordless authentication, transactional email, file storage, and a real URL wired up by default. No infrastructure configuration is required, and no per-prompt fees or AI credits are charged — users bring their own AI subscription while the platform handles hosting separately.
Every project runs on an isolated Postgres database with real SQL and migrations, a per-project file storage bucket on a global CDN, scheduled jobs and background tasks configurable in a single line, and custom domain support with automatic HTTPS. An AI routing layer lets any app call OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google models through a single added API key. A built-in Chromium browser supports page screenshotting, PDF rendering, and site reading without external APIs. A per-project MCP (Model Context Protocol) server keeps the AI connection open after deployment, allowing the AI to read live data, send emails, and modify the app's code and schema post-launch — a capability not available on platforms that cut off AI access at deploy time.
Hatchable targets a broad horizontal range of use cases spanning productivity, marketing, finance, developer tools, community, and content creation. A free tier requires no credit card and is free forever for personal use and sharing. Users retain full ownership of code and data: projects export as a zip plus SQL and run on any Postgres-compatible host. Code is plain HTML, JavaScript, and SQL, with no proprietary lock-in. An app marketplace offers community-built apps — CRM, form builders, newsletters, link-in-bio tools, and internal tools — that can be forked directly into a user's account. A library of 265 template prompts provides ready-to-paste app ideas for use with any connected AI tool.
