Hydra Dev Studio overview

What is Hydra Dev Studio?

Most developers keep a handful of apps open just to get through the day: one for the database, one for FTP, a terminal, a Git client and a cloud storage browser. Hydra Dev Studio replaces them with a single native Mac app.

Your connections live in one library, grouped into workspaces by client or project and synced between your Macs through your private iCloud database. Each one opens as a tab.

Databases: connect to MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, SQLite, DuckDB, ClickHouse, Amazon Athena and DynamoDB. Browse schemas, write queries, edit rows in the grid, and mark a connection read-only when it should never change.

Files and cloud storage: work with SFTP, FTP and FTPS, Amazon S3, WebDAV, Azure Blob Storage, SMB and local folders in a dual-pane browser. Open a config file on a server, fix it and save it straight back with its encoding and line endings intact. Compare a local folder with what is really on the server before you deploy.

Source control: Git and Subversion are built in. Review changes, stage a single hunk, resolve conflicts in a three-way merge, browse history and push without leaving the window.

SSH: open a terminal on any server in your library, and set up tunnels to reach databases behind it.

AI agents: Claude Code and other MCP clients can list, fetch, upload, query and compare across your connections through Hydra without ever being given a password. Every action, yours or an agent's, is recorded in an activity log, and risky steps wait for your approval.

Hydra is a one-time purchase that includes a year of updates, and the version you paid for keeps working after that. Try it free for 14 days with no account.
