Indemnia overview
What is Indemnia?
Indemnia is a web-based home inventory application for individual homeowners and renters who carry home or renters insurance. The platform constructs a documented household inventory automatically by scanning connected Gmail, Outlook, and Yahoo email accounts for purchase receipts and analyzing room photos to identify belongings. Each discovered item is presented to the user for confirmation, then assigned a current replacement cost, a depreciation value, and an actual cash value, matching the line-item format insurance adjusters require. Receipts and photos are attached directly to each inventory entry as proof of ownership. The platform runs continuously in the background, keeping the inventory current without manual data entry. Access is available through any web browser on computers, tablets, and phones, with an iPhone app available in testing via Apple TestFlight. An Android app is not yet available.
Indemnia targets consumers preparing for potential fire, theft, or flood claims. When a loss event occurs, the platform generates an exportable loss report formatted for insurance adjusters, which can be submitted immediately. A free tier covers the first 150 auto-discovered items with no credit card required. The paid Indemnia Home plan, priced at $249 per year or $29 per month, extends coverage to unlimited items, unlimited loss reports, and full depreciation tracking. Email access is read-only; full message content is retained only when identified as a purchase receipt and deleted after 90 days.
