Jamahook is a desktop DAW plugin and offline agent bundle, available in VST, AU, and AAX formats for Mac and Windows, that analyzes an active music project and surfaces matching loops, samples, stems, and other audio content in seconds. Using an algorithm developed in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute, it evaluates acoustic and psychoacoustic properties — including tempo, harmonic makeup, groove, rhythm, mood, genre, and instrument — to generate a unique musical signature for each sound and rank matches by proximity. Deep neural networks organize musical data to support both melodic and rhythmic matching. Matches are automatically transposed to the project key and adjusted to project BPM, with match types covering harmonic, rhythmic, and drums-only results.

Two distinct match sources are available. Cloud matching queries a growing library of over 100,000 royalty-free, commercially cleared loops via subscription; matched loops are purchased with credits and dragged directly into the DAW timeline. Local matching operates fully offline through the Offline Agent desktop application, which indexes local audio folders, classifies files, and serves matches from the user's own library without an internet connection — available under a one-time license with no recurring fee. Both modes support advanced filtering by instrument, mood, genre, and match source, as well as in-context auditioning against the active project, drag-and-drop timeline integration, soloed or muted stem combinations, and user-selectable 4- or 8-bar listening windows. Favorites and matching history are accessible with a free account, and secondary indexing improves filter accuracy for local libraries.

Jamahook targets music producers of all levels working in music production, audio post-production, music composition, and remixing. The plugin and basic matching experience are free to download, with a 14-day trial for local matching and a 1-month trial for cloud matching. User audio submitted for analysis is deleted immediately after matches are served.
