Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Jules overview
What is Jules?
Jules is a cloud-based AI coding agent that connects directly to GitHub repositories to handle coding tasks autonomously in the background. Powered by Gemini 2.5 Pro, it reads GitHub issues, generates multi-step execution plans, fixes bugs across multiple files simultaneously, writes unit tests, produces documentation, and prepares pull requests, all without requiring manual direction for every task. Developers review and approve generated plans before any code changes are applied, keeping full control over what gets merged. Tasks execute in isolated environments per issue, and multiple GitHub issues can be processed concurrently.
Designed for individual developers, small teams, startups, and organizations with agent-heavy workflows, Jules is available to Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra subscribers. It is accessible via the Jules web app, a public API (currently in alpha), and an extension for Gemini CLI using the /jules command. The API supports programmatic session creation, custom workflow configuration, and embedding into third-party tools including Slack, Linear, and GitHub. Security vulnerability investigation and fix publishing to new branches are also supported, with automated fix workflows available when combined with other Gemini CLI extensions.
Jules targets the reduction of time spent on backlog maintenance, repetitive bug fixes, code review preparation, and pull request overhead. By executing tasks asynchronously in the background, it allows developers to remain focused on higher-priority work while routine coding operations are handled in parallel. Its GitHub-native integration means it fits into existing version control workflows without requiring significant toolchain changes.
