Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Kitchain overview
What is Kitchain?
Kitchain monitors restaurant listings on food delivery marketplaces from the customer side rather than from the merchant account.
How collection works
Every monitored location has one record per marketplace. Kitchain opens the public storefront for that record on a schedule, several times an hour, and stores what was shown: whether the listing could be ordered from, the rating and review count, the promotions rendered, the menu and its prices, the position the brand held in the app's own search from fixed geographic points, and the delivery zone and quoted delivery time.
Because the observation is taken from the public page, it captures the state a customer experienced rather than the state a merchant system reported. That is the difference between checking what was sent and checking what was served.
What it detects
Availability. Locations that go offline, open late, close early or drop out mid-service, with start and end times, frequency by hour and day, and the trading hours lost.
Ratings. Score and review count per location per marketplace, recorded daily, with trend and decline detection.
Promotions. Whether a campaign is actually visible in each branch, including item-level discounts, and which branches never rendered it.
Menu and prices. The item list and prices served to a customer, compared against what was published, with price spread detected across a network.
Search position. Where the brand appears in the marketplace's own results, measured from fixed points across a city rather than from a single query.
Delivery coverage. Zone shape and quoted delivery time as shown to a customer, including zones that narrow without notice.
Delivery of results
Alerts are sent on WhatsApp, email and Telegram, each naming the location and the marketplace. A web dashboard at alert.kitchain.co holds the history behind each alert. Data can be exported into your own reporting.
Integration and security
There is no integration to build. A location is added with its marketplace link or its store identifier, and starts reporting in about ten minutes. Kitchain does not connect to a point of sale, does not use marketplace merchant credentials, and installs nothing in the restaurant or on a tablet.
That design also limits exposure. Kitchain holds no access to your ordering systems and no ability to change anything in your marketplace accounts, because it never authenticates as you. What it stores is observation of public pages plus the location list you provide.
Coverage
More than 40 delivery marketplaces across the Gulf, Europe and the United Kingdom.
