KraalBook is a mobile and web-based livestock management platform built for South African cattle, sheep, goat, and pig producers. Available on iOS, Android, and via a web interface, KraalBook supports individual animal and batch registration using electronic (EID) and visual ear tags, with RFID scanning via Bluetooth or USB reader. All herd events — births, vaccinations, treatments, deaths, camp movements, and sales — can be captured fully offline at the crush and synced automatically when connectivity is restored. Data is stored on servers in South Africa and handled in line with POPIA.

KraalBook addresses the legal and compliance requirements specific to South African livestock operations. The platform generates Section 6 and Section 8 removal certificates as PDFs for auctions and private sales, and produces FMD compliance paperwork without manual form-filling. Vaccination tracking covers FMD and all other scheduled treatments, with proactive alerts before animals fall due. Treatment withdrawal periods are tracked automatically. A permanent, audit-ready animal history travels with every animal, and shareable animal fact sheets with full event histories can be produced on demand. Farm owners can invite stockmen to capture field events and monitor their activity remotely. Sixteen built-in reports span compliance and audit, production and breeding, and herd and land management categories.
