Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Lumina overview
What is Lumina?
Lumina is a cloud-based AI-powered demand and inventory planning platform built for scaling DTC, omnichannel, and FMCG consumer brands, typically operating between £1M and £30M in annual turnover. It consolidates demand forecasting, automated purchase order generation, inventory tracking, cashflow planning, and landed cost management into a single connected system, replacing fragmented spreadsheet workflows. Lumina sits on top of existing inventory management systems or third-party logistics providers, or can function as a lightweight inventory system of record. No IT team is required; guided onboarding brings Starter plan users live in approximately one week and Core plan users in approximately four weeks.
Lumina delivers per-SKU, per-channel AI demand forecasting that selects the method best suited to each product's sales history, including growth-adjusted seasonality, rolling average, and similar-product forecasting for new product lines. Forecast accuracy and bias are tracked per SKU, and the platform automatically switches to the best-performing method over time. Manual overrides, promotion layering, and launch planning are supported. Automated replenishment generates purchase orders based on demand forecasts, stock levels, minimum order quantities, lead times, container constraints, and budget rules. Exception reporting surfaces stockout and overstock risk before it materialises, and late-PO detection flags supplier delays. Cashflow planning integrates supplier payment schedules and a forward cash forecast directly into the planning workflow. Freight, duty, and additional charges are tracked per unit for landed cost and margin visibility. Multi-channel coverage aggregates Shopify, Amazon, retail, and B2B data into a unified forecast and replenishment view. Connectors include Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, Unleashed, Cin7, Xero, 3PL exports, and custom CSV or ERP integrations. An AI chat interface accepts natural-language queries and automates actions such as purchase order creation, alert dispatch, and on-demand report generation. Optional add-ons extend the platform: the Merchandising Suite adds range and option planning, WSSI, open-to-buy, and store allocation; the Production Suite adds BOMs, BOM explosion, production planning, and MRP for manufacturing workflows.
Lumina is modular by design, allowing teams to activate the highest-priority workflow first and add capabilities incrementally. Every forecast displays the method that produced it and any layers applied on top, providing full transparency without requiring external consultancy for implementation or ongoing use. The platform targets planners, operations leads, and founders at consumer brands that have outgrown spreadsheets but do not require a full enterprise system covering order fulfilment, warehouse floor operations, point of sale, or EDI.
