Metrea is a web application for quantity takeoff and construction cost estimating, made for French construction cost consultants (économistes de la construction), quantity surveyors and architects' offices.

You start from the drawings you receive: vector or scanned PDF, photos, Word documents with a plan pasted in, DWG and DXF files, IFC models, or a Revit model sent by the plugin. Metrea finds the levels and the rooms, reads the room names and the areas written on the plan, and proposes the missing areas, perimeters and heights from the room outlines. You check each room and confirm it. Every quantity keeps its origin: read on the plan, measured on a confirmed outline, entered by hand, or estimated and still to check.

From the takeoff, Metrea prices the works by trade (three finish levels, fourteen French regions, your own price list if you have one), produces the DPGF bid schedule, a blank DPGF for tenders and the CCTP specifications, then compares contractors' bids line by line. Exports go to Excel with live formulas, to PDF estimates and to markup plans. When a revised drawing arrives, Metrea compares both versions and shows the impact on the estimate.
