Autodesk should look into cutting their prices, even if that could involve creating cut-down versions of Maya for specific specialties (a version for animation, a version for modelling, etc).

Though it's not the most user friendly software with old UI but it's has robust UV features and powerful Integrated Arnold renderer and Xgen (it's difficult to set up and pretty buggy but looks great when it works.
