Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Nanum overview
What is Nanum?
Nanum is a UK-based, web and mobile care management platform built for domiciliary care, home care, and care home providers of any size. Core operations run in a single environment: rostering and scheduling with day, week, month, and map views; shifts auto-generated from care packages; electronic medication administration records (eMAR) with full outcome coding and an append-only audit trail; care planning and clinical charts; client and carer records; referrals with voice-note dictation; custom forms and assessments; invoicing and billing with Xero and QuickBooks export; payroll and timesheets; and CQC reporting and compliance. A carer-facing iOS and Android mobile app supports field staff, while a family access portal and e-signature consent tooling extend visibility to clients and their representatives. The platform is accessible via app.nanum.co.uk, with mobile apps available for both carers and managers.
Beyond internal workforce management, Nanum addresses shift coverage gaps through a cross-agency carer-sharing model. Providers can source verified freelance carers or borrow carers from partner agencies directly within the platform. Freelance carers complete a single verification covering DBS, identity, and right to work, and that verified status is recognised across all participating agencies. Managers retain approval over every carer assignment; the platform never auto-places a carer. Borrowed carers receive a consent-scoped handover brief on arrival, drawn from the provider's own records. An AI matching engine scores unfilled shifts against available carers by proximity, continuity, skills, and training, surfacing a ranked shortlist with a confidence score and a stated reason for each recommendation. The engine operates in shadow mode, proposing the best-fit carer but requiring manager sign-off before any placement is confirmed.
Invoicing and billing logic is funder-aware, handling private, council, NHS-CHC, and split or capped funding arrangements within a single workflow, removing the need for separate billing tools or manual reconciliation across funding streams. Referrals can be captured by voice-note dictation, with an AI smart-fill function populating the referral form from the recorded content without fabricating details. An in-platform assistant, Ask Nanum, answers operational questions and supports handovers using permission-scoped data from the provider's own records. The combined back-office and workforce coverage capability positions Nanum as an end-to-end operational platform for UK social care providers managing both employed staff and flexible carer pools.
