NOVA DRIM overview

What is NOVA DRIM?

NOVA DRIM is an artificial intelligence driven cyber risk quantification and decision intelligence platform that operates as a real time, exposure driven framework for enterprise cybersecurity management. The platform unifies external attack surface management, third party risk management, governance and compliance, vulnerability assessment and penetration testing, virtual chief information security officer services, and twenty four by seven security operations center capabilities into a single integrated system. The platform is designed for regulated businesses in the United States and India spanning sectors such as non banking financial services, fintech, software as a service, startups, healthcare, manufacturing, retail and e commerce, government, and energy and utilities. Frameworks supported include NIST Cybersecurity Framework, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act compliance, Service Organization Control two, Reserve Bank of India cybersecurity guidelines, Digital Personal Data Protection Act, Securities and Exchange Board of India cybersecurity requirements, and ISO two seven zero zero one.

The platform operates through five computational layers that process security data deterministically. The exposure driven likelihood engine derives probabilities of compromise from real time exposure conditions by monitoring state transitions across external attack surfaces, network configurations, application misconfigurations, credential leakage incidents, and third party vendor data. The attack feasibility modeling layer evaluates exploitability by assessing active exploitation indicators, privilege escalation potential, lateral movement paths, and persistence mechanisms. The business impact quantification layer translates technical exposures into business consequences by estimating financial loss, regulatory penalty exposure, operational disruption, and reputational damage based on asset criticality and data sensitivity. The dual layer confidence engine distinguishes detection confidence, which reflects the reliability of security findings, from risk confidence, which represents the reliability of quantification, and classifies stability as transient, recurring, structural, or accepted. The constrained artificial intelligence explainability layer generates traceable reasoning artifacts including root cause statements, prioritization narratives, remediation guidance, and audit ready documentation trails.

The platform ingests telemetry continuously from multiple domains including external attack surfaces, network exposure points, application configurations, email authentication posture, credential leakage sources, and vendor ecosystems. Detection of exposure state transitions such as newly exposed services, remediated vulnerabilities, and control posture shifts triggers recalculation. Risk calculations follow a deterministic methodology that combines likelihood, impact, and control adjustment factors. Likelihood factors incorporate industry baseline probabilities, exposure adjustment factors, threat targeting multipliers, and control weakness coefficients. Impact factors consider asset criticality, data sensitivity, regulatory jurisdiction, operational dependency, and customer sector classifications. Control adjustments reflect remediation status, control posture changes, detection reliability, and risk stability classification.

NOVA DRIM integrates with existing security infrastructure through an application programming interface architecture that supports continuous data flow from tools including external attack surface monitors, network security systems, application security platforms, identity and access management solutions, and third party risk assessment frameworks. The platform produces board ready risk scorecards with explainable narratives for executive stakeholders. Use cases include enterprise cyber risk management with continuous governance aligned to business priorities, regulatory compliance reporting with traceable reasoning trails, cyber insurance underwriting powered by live exposure intelligence, and board level decision frameworks that require transparent risk communication.
