Oho overview

What is Oho?

Oho is a cloud-based compliance and background screening platform built for Australian care and community sector organisations, including disability and NDIS care providers, aged care, early childhood education and care, allied health, community services, and sport and volunteer organisations. Oho connects directly to 23+ government registries to verify workforce credentials in real time at the point of hire and on a continuous basis as frequently as every 7 days across the full employee lifecycle. The platform covers employees, contractors, labour hire, and volunteers within a single system, and is trusted by 150+ care providers across Australia.

Oho handles pre-employment background screening, including Working With Children Checks (WWCC) across all Australian states and territories, NDIS Worker Screening, and Visa/Right to Work (VEVO) checks verified against government sources. Employment verification extends to qualification history, employment history, and professional registrations such as AHPRA, law societies, and teaching authorities. Automated compliance workflows trigger onboarding and offboarding restrictions, remediation tasks, and escalation pathways when credential status changes. A tamper-proof, timestamped audit trail supports regulatory and board-level compliance reporting. Configurable compliance rules accommodate position-specific requirements, exemptions, and equivalent credentials. The platform integrates with 20+ HR, payroll, and ATS systems, including SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Humanforce, PageUp, SmartRecruiters, and Microsoft Dynamics 365, via REST API, webhooks, and native connectors. Single sign-on (SSO) is supported through Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, and Google Workspace.

Oho is hosted in Australia under data sovereignty compliance with the Privacy Act 1988, and holds SOC 2 Type II certification and ISO 27001 compliance. Data is encrypted with AES-256 at rest and in transit. Pricing is structured per candidate for recruitment screening and per worker per year for continuous monitoring, rather than per individual check. The platform is designed for organisations of varying sizes, including large enterprises with complex multi-site compliance requirements.
