okhere overview

What is okhere?

OKHERE is a daily wellness check-in service built for independent living communities. Instead of staff walking the halls each morning knocking on doors or working through a call list, OKHERE checks on every resident automatically and shows the results on one live dashboard.

How residents check in

Each morning at a time you choose, OKHERE calls the resident and asks them to press 1. Residents can also call in early, or reply OK to a text from any phone, including a flip phone. Most check-ins take a few seconds. There is no app to install and nothing for residents to learn.

Passive Check-In (optional)

With Passive Check-In, motion in the apartment confirms the resident is up and about, so most mornings need no call at all. If there's no movement by check-in time, the call goes out as usual. It works with standard Zigbee motion sensors, including many a community already has. Motion only, with no cameras and no microphones.

When someone doesn't check in

If a resident doesn't answer, OKHERE retries every 10 minutes for up to an hour and also sends a text. If there's still no response, the resident is flagged on the dashboard and your team is alerted, so staff only follow up with the residents who need it.

Replies that need attention

Residents can reply in their own words. Simple replies like "OK" or "Yes" are recognized automatically. Replies that suggest something is wrong, such as "I feel dizzy", are marked urgent and moved to the top of the dashboard, and the resident is told their message has reached staff. Every message has a one-click Mark Handled button, and everything is logged.

Built for communities

OKHERE supports English, Spanish, French, Mandarin and Cantonese, set per resident. It has been operating since 2012. Pricing is published on our website, with no setup fees and no long-term contract.

Try it free for 14 days with up to 5 residents, no credit card required, or book a demo through our website.

OKHERE is not an emergency service. Residents should always call 911 in an emergency.
