OneMount overview

What is OneMount?

OneMount is a Windows desktop application (Windows 10 and Windows 11) that mounts SharePoint Online and OneDrive document libraries as lettered network drives in Windows File Explorer via WebDAV. Files remain in the cloud at all times — no local copies are created and no disk space is consumed. Access to the full cloud library is available through standard drive paths without any synchronization process running in the background. The application connects using standard Microsoft 365 sign-in (SSO) and requires no Azure AD app registration or tenant-side configuration, allowing any Microsoft 365 user to install and authenticate independently in approximately 2 minutes.

OneMount auto-discovers SharePoint sites, Microsoft Teams libraries, personal OneDrive, and shared folders. Co-authoring, AutoSave, and full SharePoint version history are preserved when opening Word and Excel files. A right-click context menu provides direct access to SharePoint web links, drive paths, Outlook sharing, and version history. A built-in link-fixing tool identifies and repairs broken paths and links. Drive connections persist across reboots, sleep states, and password changes. The application supports terabyte-scale libraries and collections exceeding 300,000 files — beyond the limits of Microsoft's classic sync client — making it suited to organizations with large SharePoint environments.

Deployment is supported via silent installer with GPO, Intune, and SCCM, along with ADMX group policy templates for centralized IT management. A license management portal provides per-device activation control. Each user license covers up to 3 devices. The interface supports English, Ukrainian, and Spanish, with light and dark themes following Windows 11 Fluent design. OneMount is particularly well-suited to organizations running legacy applications — including accounting platforms, ERP systems, CAD tools, Access databases, and batch scripts — that require mapped drive letters rather than sync folder paths.
