Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Pictomaker overview
What is Pictomaker?
Pictomaker draws safety signs to the standard and shows the clause behind each one.
From the hazard to the sign
Tell the app what goes on in a place: fire equipment, an escape route, a slipping or falling hazard, a traffic route, a container of a dangerous substance, pipework, a storage area. It lists the signs the regulation calls for, each with its article number and the text quoted word for word. Your answer for each stays in one of three states: present, absent, or not looked at yet.
A catalogue that carries its source
Every symbol shows its code, its standard and its edition: ISO 7010 safety signs, GHS hazard pictograms, transport labels and more. The catalogue speeds the work up; it does not limit it. A sign can be text only, or carry your own image.
The design surface
- Shape, colour, border and layout are yours; several lines of text, or two languages on one plate
- Paper and plate sizes in millimetres
- Pick a standard template and the app measures the safety-colour area and says whether it reaches the required share; without a template it measures nothing and blocks nothing
- PNG, PDF and SVG output through the share sheet
The workplace book
Keep each workplace's signs apart: where a sign is posted, since when, under which edition of the standard, and when it is due for renewal. Widgets and an Apple Watch app show what is due.
Every screen has an info button and a guided tour, and a voice assistant can open a screen or find a symbol for you.
Free and memberships
Free covers sign design, the symbol catalogue, workplaces, PNG, PDF and SVG export, and one company in the book of business. The free tier is supported by ads, which every membership removes.
Plus removes the ads, opens every theme and icon, and lets you use your own AI provider key. Gold adds more than one company in the book of business. Premium adds the AI reading on the app's own engine.
Plus, Gold and Premium are optional in-app purchases and require an additional purchase. They are sold monthly, three-monthly, six-monthly and yearly as auto-renewing subscriptions, and as a one-off lifetime purchase that does not renew. Everything described above that is not named as a paid feature works without paying.
Pictomaker produces signs and shows their legal basis. It does not inspect a workplace, certify a sign or replace the risk assessment that decides which signs you need.
