What is ScanID?
ScanID removes the retyping of identity documents from group travel files. The agency uploads photos or PDF files of French passports and national identity cards, one document or a whole group at once, and ScanID returns an Excel or CSV table whose columns never change: surname, given names, sex, date of birth, nationality, document number, document type and expiry date. A confidence score on each row shows which readings to double-check before the file is used for a rooming list or a passenger list. Each trip can also have its own collection link: the agency sends it to the group, and every traveller uploads their passport or identity card from their phone, without creating an account or installing an app. The validity alert then compares the expiry date of each document with the trip’s return date, following the rule chosen for the trip, and isolates the documents that expire too early. Documents are read in memory and destroyed straight after reading; only the extracted data is kept, encrypted, in a space reserved for each agency and hosted in the European Union. ScanID runs in the browser, on computer and phone, with nothing to install. Pricing is based on prepaid document packs, with no subscription.
