Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

ScreenBrief overview
What is ScreenBrief?
Meetings produce decisions, and decisions get lost in recordings nobody rewatches. ScreenBrief is a desktop app for Windows 10 and 11 that turns those recordings into something you can search and act on.
Capture: record your screen with system audio, or import files you already have from Teams, Zoom, Google Meet or any other source (mp4, mov, mkv, webm, avi, mp3, wav, m4a, ogg).
Transcribe on your own computer: speech recognition runs locally with Whisper, on the CPU or on a GPU with the optional accelerated runtime. Recordings and transcripts are stored on your disk.
Understand: generate a short or detailed summary, a list of decisions and a list of action items. Ask questions in a chat, and every answer shows the minute of the recording it is based on.
Choose your AI: run summaries and chat through a local Ollama model, or connect your own API key for an external provider. Nothing is generated until you ask.
Find it later: all recordings live in one library with full-text search across every transcript. Export transcripts as plain text or as .srt and .vtt subtitles.
Pricing: the app is a free download from the Microsoft Store with 5 free transcriptions. ScreenBrief Pro is a one-time purchase of 299 PLN or a subscription of 29 PLN per month, with the same features. No account or sign-in is required. The interface is available in English and Polish.
