SmoothInvoice overview
What is SmoothInvoice?
Writing a correct German invoice should not take an accounting suite. SmoothInvoice runs in the browser, needs no installation and no sign up, and covers every detail that § 14 UStG requires.
Who it is for: freelancers, sole traders and small businesses in Germany. If you use the small business exemption under § 19 UStG, the required notice is added for you and no VAT is shown. If you charge VAT, you can use 19 %, 7 % and 0 % on each line, and the totals are calculated per rate.
What you can do:
• Create invoices with sequential numbers and a live preview
• Bill customers in other EU countries with reverse charge, and handle export cases
• Export XRechnung files for public sector clients
• Add a GiroCode so customers can pay by scanning it with their banking app
• Track open and overdue invoices and write payment reminders
• Reuse customers and services from earlier invoices
• Record incoming invoices you have to pay
• Back up and restore all data as a file
Privacy: your data stays on your device. If you want, a free account keeps an end-to-end encrypted copy, so nothing is lost when the browser is cleared, and your devices stay in sync. The password never leaves your browser, so SmoothInvoice cannot read your invoices.
