SoftOrbits BatchPrint overview
What is SoftOrbits BatchPrint?
Month end tends to look the same: a folder of two hundred invoices, statements and delivery notes, and a machine down the corridor. Opening each file, pressing Ctrl+P and closing it again eats the afternoon. BatchPrint is batch print software that turns the folder into a single run. Load it, check the options once, start it, and everything leaves in list order while you get on with other work.
🧾 The problem it removes
Windows Explorer stops offering Print as soon as more than 15 files are selected, and right-click printing sends everything to the default device with whatever settings it happens to hold. This batch print software has no such ceiling, and you choose the device and paper before anything is sent. A ZIP of client attachments is unpacked into the list. A password-protected PDF does not freeze the run either: it is set aside with a reason and the run keeps moving. That is the difference between a PDF batch printer you can leave alone and one you have to babysit.
🚀 How to start with the batch print software
1. Install the program on Windows 10 or 11 and open it.
2. Drag the folder into the window or press Add folder. Subfolders come along.
3. Untick rows you do not want, and drag rows to change the order.
4. Pick a device in the card on the left. The small sliders button opens the driver's own dialog for quality or toner saving.
5. Open Settings for copies, duplex, N-up layout, margins, headers and footers.
6. Look at the paper estimate, then start. When the batch ends, a summary shows what went through and what did not.
👥 Who it is for
- Bookkeepers who batch print PDF invoices together with the Excel statements that came with them.
- Paralegals assembling exhibits in a fixed sequence, with letters saved as EML or MSG in the same run.
- Dispatch desks with packing lists and delivery notes every morning.
- School offices producing class sets of worksheets and forms.
- IT staff who turn one shared PC into the place where large jobs happen.
📅 What a week with it looks like
On Monday the dispatch clerk drops sixty delivery notes into the list and walks to the loading bay. On Wednesday payroll slips go out two per page, double-sided, on company stationery. On Friday a paralegal reloads last week's saved list, swaps three exhibits and runs the bundle again. Nobody that week opened a single file by hand, which is the whole case for batch print software in a small office.
❓ FAQ
Why does Windows hide the Print command when I select more than 15 files?
Explorer caps that menu on purpose, so one click cannot launch hundreds of programs. Here there is no such cap, and a few thousand entries is routine.
How do I print multiple Word documents at once?
Add them like any other file. With Microsoft Office installed they go through Word and keep their original layout. Without Office, LibreOffice is used if present, otherwise a built-in reader handles text, tables and images.
Can it print saved emails without Outlook?
Yes. EML and MSG files are read straight from disk with the header, the body and inline pictures, and attachments are listed by name.
What happens to a file that cannot be printed?
It is passed over, the next one starts, and the summary names it along with the cause, such as a damaged PDF or a missing system codec.
🔒 Documents stay on the PC
No account, no upload, no cloud service. Pictures linked from a web server inside HTML or mail are not fetched, and scripts are switched off before rendering. Useful if you need to print multiple PDFs at once on a workstation where files must not leave the building, or to print all files in a folder on an isolated machine.
💡 Free trial
The free trial of the batch print software handles up to 10 files per batch with every option unlocked, and adds one report page at the end of each batch. Nothing is stamped on your documents. Once 100 files have gone through, the trial drops to one file at a time until a license is entered.
