Stream Gateway overview
What is Stream Gateway?
Stream Gateway by CEF receives SRT and HLS and delivers UDP unicast and multicast, HLS and DASH, 24/7. It demultiplexes a multiplex into programme slots and each slot takes its own SRT or HLS source; every programme also gets an HLS URL and a DASH URL on your network. A backup origin per channel gives automatic failover. Live monitoring reports RTT, jitter and bandwidth in and out, with a full report of what happens on every incoming signal, and e-mail alerts for signal loss, black screen and pixelation per programme. Each device has a local panel on the LAN, and a cloud panel groups the whole fleet with status, version and licence, remote configuration and remote actions (start/stop streams, restart, update, reboot). Installation is one line on a Raspberry Pi 4/5 or an Ubuntu Server 24.04 LTS machine; 20 streams on a Raspberry Pi, up to 250 on Linux. Licensed per device, activated once on the device's local console with a key sent by e-mail.
