VirtlixCP overview

What is VirtlixCP?

VirtlixCP is a self-hosted control panel for hosting providers and datacenter operators running dedicated server racks alongside KVM virtual private servers. Installed on the operator's own AlmaLinux or Rocky Linux 9 server via a one-command installer, VirtlixCP manages bare metal and KVM VPS inventory from a single interface, with no dependency on external services or datacenter visits for routine operations. Target industries include web hosting, dedicated server hosting, VPS hosting, colocation, and datacenter operations. Licensing is per node, available as a monthly subscription from $7.50 per node or a one-time lifetime license at $299, with no per-VM fees and a single license covering both dedicated servers and KVM VPSes in a shared inventory and IP pool.

VirtlixCP provides unattended OS reloads over PXE for Linux distributions (AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, Debian, CentOS) and Windows Server, with kickstart, preseed, and unattend template editing and custom shell script support. Hardware control covers IPMI power management, boot device selection, BMC reset, and remote KVM console access for Dell iDRAC, HP iLO, Supermicro IPMI, and APC PDU hardware. Switch automation supports VLAN configuration, port speeds, and port power on Arista, Cisco, Juniper, and Brocade equipment. IPv4 and IPv6 pool management includes VLAN assignment, per-port SNMP bandwidth graphs, and automatic suspension on overages. KVM VPS management includes OS template deployment from a catalog, browser-based console, live resource graphs, rebuild, resize, clone, bulk actions, routed networking with virtual MACs, port speed limits from 100 Mbps to 25 Gbps, and monthly bandwidth allowances. LXC containers are supported as a lighter-weight virtualization backend. Additional capabilities include software RAID 1, per-VPS and server-level firewall rules, automated backups with configurable destinations, PCI/USB device passthrough, NFS-backed remote storage pools, and PowerDNS integration for reverse DNS zones.

VirtlixCP includes a client-facing self-service area covering power control, OS reinstall, console access, and password, hostname, and DNS changes, reducing support ticket volume. A WHMCS module and a provisioning API with scoped keys automate billing system integration for provisioning, suspension, and termination. Reseller sub-client management, two-factor authentication (TOTP), access control lists, full action logging, and white-label branding are included. The built-in installer configures DHCP, TFTP, HTTP, and Samba services for PXE, and free Let's Encrypt SSL with automatic renewal is provided out of the box. Webhook callbacks support VM lifecycle event integrations.
