Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Ziperase Array Erase overview
What is Ziperase Array Erase?
Ziperase Array Erase is high-volume drive erasure software for ITAD providers and Enterprise IT teams running data center decommissioning and cloud migration projects. It sanitizes loose and directly attached SSDs and HDDs, including SAN cabinets, from a single server.
Parallel erasure
Load up to 256 drives on one server and start them all with one click. Every attached drive runs in parallel with the erasure method set for its media type, and technicians can change the method or start a single drive from its own line. Disk array expansion units map to fixed slot numbers, so every drive on screen matches its physical bay.
Supported drive interfaces
NVMe, SATA, PATA (IDE), SCSI, SAS, Fibre Channel, UAS, SCSIe and eMMC. Drives connect through HBAs and common RAID controllers such as HPSA and PERC.
Hot-swap and batch handling
Pull a finished drive and insert the next one in the same bay, and the new drive takes over that bay's line automatically. Each drive shows a clear pass or fail status, and its log records the cause of any failure, such as a read error or a failed verification. Every drive joins the active batch when it is attached, and each batch produces combined PDF, CSV and JSON reports alongside the individual drive reports.
Locked drives
Drives secured with ATA passwords or TCG PSIDs unlock automatically from a supplied list, and licenses are only consumed by drives that unlock.
S.M.A.R.T. drive monitoring
Array Erase reads each drive's S.M.A.R.T. data and can run a short self-test before erasure, flagging any drive that crosses your limits for power-on hours, power cycles, temperature, health or reallocated sectors. The results appear on every erasure report.
Certified erasure and reporting
Array Erase applies Purge-level erasure matched to each drive type, including cryptographic erasure where the drive supports it, removes hidden areas before erasure and verifies the result. Every drive gets its own tamper-proof erasure certificate, and reports export as PDF, JSON and customizable CSV.
Certifications: ADISA Product Assurance Level 5 and Common Criteria EAL2
Standards: NIST SP 800-88 R2 and IEEE 2883:2022
Regulatory frameworks: supports compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, FERPA and other data protection regulations
Integrations
Connect Array Erase to Ziperase Command Center to monitor and control every server remotely, centralize reporting, and integrate with ITAD ERP platforms including Makor ERP, RazorERP and IQ Reseller. JSON and CSV exports work with existing systems, including ITAM software.
