Simple GIS Client is a Windows-based GIS mapping software designed to assist organizations with field data collection, visualization, spatial analysis, GPS tracking, routing, and navigation. Features include thematic mapping, offline access, and analytics. Data wizards allow users to easily access data from the USGS, US Census Bureau and OpenStreetMap.
The application allows users to add multiple map layers with custom symbols, set legends on layers, create attributes and spatial queries. The application supports buffer and drive time analysis. Simple GIS Client also provides a batch geocoding tool to easilty map addresses from an Excel spreadhseet, CSV file, or exteral dta table to points on your map.
With its custom attribute data entry tool, users can easily create custom data forms for collecting and displaying attribute data for spatial features. Users can easily link photos, videos, spreadsheets, or other documents to spatial features on their map.
It also lets users prepare multi-stop routes, track GPS location in the field, and record position as GPS breadcrumbs. Teams can edit shapefiles with line trimming, clipping, polygon splitting, and various other functionalities. Agencies can also create shaded relief imagery from elevation data and generate heat maps. With its Simple GIS Collaborate plugin, managers can set up, edit, post, and process work orders.
