Love this tool. I tried other tool like Airtable but Asana always seem to work the way I want to organize things. Highly recommended
very easy to use, and also very easy to collaborate with team mates. You can use tag and calendar function to stay organized.
Wish I can assign the projects or task to multiple people instead of just assigning a one person. it's not a big deal since you can have other's follow

I found a simpler solution with Airtable for a small team, but for large teams with a lot of different projects going on, Asana would be an excellent system.
The clean UI, thoughtful design, and the ability to home tasks across projects.
When I used it, the visibility of sub-tasks was poor and it was often difficult to know the status of tasks with sub-tasks.

We switched from Asana to Airtable due to the user interface and ease of use. Asana takes more time to create and organize tasks than Airtable and that costs you time. Asana is quite loaded with features however you must uncover them and know how to implement them and that takes training. Asana's font, user-interface scheme is not as refined as it could be. It seems they would benefit greatly by a massive overhaul.

It our company's digital brain. Only recently have we added AirTable as a companion, but for many years we managed everything from our CRM to our Content Calendar to internal and external projects and launches.
The amount of features you get for "free" is unparalleled. The ability to add non-domain team members and clients is a great boast as well
While you can remove a non-domain person from a task or project, unless you upgrade you cannot remove them from the workspace. They won't get any notifications or see anything, so it is secure, but it is a nuisance that they still populate in search and quick fill functions.

For managing teams, Asana is one of the better options. I've successfully used it in both software and agency businesses.
For granular campaign management when running an agency business we ended up too deep in the weeds for Asana to be our go-to tool (ended up using AirTable). However, I think for many businesses it's more than enough!

Asana is my personal choice for task management. I love to use it, because of the IFTTT integration. I can create the projects thrugh Airtable, manage the details there. But create the tasks in Asana. If you are a solo user or a small team, and you don't need the extra features you can use the free version.
Ability to handle tasks, deadlines, subtasks and integration.
Some features like custom fields, timeline are only available after subscriptions

Overall Asana is great. I really do like it. But I also am planning on moving the company to ClickUp sometime in 2021 to collapse several tools into one and utilize ClickUp's integrations, API, etc
Really clean and easy to do basic project management with the free tool. Easy to onboard people of varying technical capabilities to the tool. You will need the premium features for more advanced project management capabilities.....and even some of the premium functions like Goals and insight into workload I was not overly impressed with when I trialed Pro.
I think Asana could do better to equip people for fuller, more robust success. It wasn't immediately clear to me that Asana has the kinds of API and integrations that it offers. I went and built a Customer Success tool in Airtable because I understood that tools capabilities but would have done it in Asana if I knew.

Asana is the tool of choice when you want to manage digital media projects. The ability to implement strictly Scrum , Kanban rules is up to you without any restrictions set from the software - and you can be as versatile as you want.
- Asana is a really intuitive project management tool with a really small learning curve comparing to the likes of Jira, Monday and Airtable. New team members can easily get onboard without much training. - Really flexible as well as it lets you create all kind of project boards based on your needs. Does not restrict you to a specific logic i.e. Jira ; while at the same time gives you tools to organize and shape your project plan as you like eg. with the use of Custom Fields - really cool!
- The Portfolio functionality being on the Business tier - Having to enroll ALL team members to Business tier and not just some members of the team i.e. just the line Managers. Not everyone needs to have access to the Business tier features and tools.

Overall, I couldn't imagine our company not using Asana. It keeps us on task, it plays well with other platforms and it's easy to use. It may not look at flashy as other project management tools, but it's robust and gets the job done.
ASANA is feature-rich with the flexibility that allows for both list and visually driven people to stay on task and get things done. The numerous APIs available helps integrate ASANA to various other platforms easily. We use Slack and ASANA almost as one entity at this point. I personally use the Kanban-style tiles when creating projects and found the ability to drag and drop to be immensely helpful. We have tried other software like Trello, Airtable, etc. but come back to ASANA because of it's the ease of use and reliability.
I found the I wish the Calendar was more robust, I would like to be able to move due dates, etc as a drag and drop feature on the calendar but it's not available. Also, when creating the titles on the tiles I found it not to be intuitive and end up having to click multiple times to get it right.

Asana(opens in new tab) is even more an efficiency and joint effort bundle as opposed to a venture the board software(opens in new tab) suite. It does exclude worked in time following or high level task plans, which are both fundamental for keeping long haul projects on target and accurately paid. In any case, Asana succeeds at task the executives, with a UI that is both natural and flexible, simplifying it to team up in gatherings of any size. Task, responsibility the board, and a few application connectors are among the stage's best elements.
Asana has a simple and easy user interface The elements are accessible and have the capacity to coordinate outside devices. What I like the most is that I can connect records and neighborhood documents from Dropbox. I can channel assignments and ventures either by sequential request, due dates, and so forth. It's an incredible cooperative instrument to further develop efficiency. We can oversee assignments...
The product is very restricted with regards to data set building, or customization. I very much want Notion's "pages" and "data sets," which give its clients substantially more adaptability in how to introduce data, permitting you to plan and sort out pages utilizing text, headers, in-line tables, pictures, recordings, and so on. Asana, nonetheless, is genuinely restricted to a particular look, that main shifts by view type. Properties are unequipped for being modified as effectively as in Airtable or Notion. Assuming you're profoundly knowledgeable about the project the board, customization is essential to you.

Asana was the first project and task management tool I ever used. My overall experience with it is that I found myself seeking out more advanced and customizable project management applications because Asana's capabilities were limited.
Asana is a good starter project management tool. If you're on a team that only needs to track a few things, or is looking to collaborate on and track project information, Asana may be the solution for you. It's fairly user friendly and easy to learn, and you're able to track the same sets of data across various different views (List, Board, Timeline, Calendar, etc.). You're also able to view your own tasks outside of and separate from project views, creating a sort of "to do list" you can refer to that is organized by task due date.
The software is quite limited when it comes to database building, or customization. I much prefer Notion's "pages" and "databases," which give its users much more flexibility in how to present information, allowing you to design and organize pages using text, headers, in-line tables, images, videos, you name it. Asana, however, is fairly confined to a singular look, that only varies by view type. Properties are incapable of being customized as easily as they are in Airtable or Notion as well. If you're highly experienced in project management, and customization is important to you, I'd look for something more advanced than Asana.

AirTable is a great task manager that is a lot more visual than Trello or Asana (although we still use those for different aspects of our business.)
Airtable is easy to start using within moments of creating an account and organizes individual and team-wide to-dos, action items, files, and questions. It has been a game-changer in terms of organizing our teams and creating an environment of transparency and has cut out a lot of back-and-forth communication about where tasks are in the process of getting done.
We haven't been using AirTable enough to run into the paywall yet - I do wish there was an easier way to see real-time edits and who is making them (a la Google Docs) but imagine this is an integration that will come along soon. It seems a little too easy to change due dates and information, making it easy for data to be accidentally deleted.

Project management tools such as Trello or Asana were considered. CRMs like Hubspot or Pipedrive. Also Notion and spreadsheets like Excel. Airtable Airtable can perform all functions with a simple interface and great versatility.
Allows adding files, images, code, and visualizing data.It offers interesting collaboration features.Add other functionalities to the most popular software.
It does not reach the same level in Excel's own functions. It is not competitive in price of the Premium layer.Analysis: dynamic tables (better excel). Row and record limit. It does not analyze information like CRMs. You have to parameterize it.Sensitive information is not as protected as in other management software.Everything is in English.

I gave up pretty quickly even with a coworker helping me.
It had all the features you want and was flexible. If you want all the company's projects in one place, it is technically capable.
It was impossible to transition too. I have used tons of software before, but I could not make sense of how to take advantage of all the features. I was using only the most basic stuff, like it was Asana.

Highly recommended as an overall productivity tool, but not better than your best-of-breeds software.
It is a very powerful tool, with integration capabilities and a strong game for online collaboration. It has more than 20 features that you would like to see in your regular spreadsheet software.
It has some limits, especially for regular users. It may function as a CRM, but it is not a CRM. It is not as intuitive as Trello or Asana. Power users that dominate integrations and formulas will find a workaround for everything.

I found out about Airtable as a project management software and a potential replacement for Excel/Sheets and Asana and Trello, so naturally I was excited about the way everything could be integrate. The look of it all and the design thinking behind it seem so natural.
Unfortunately, I just didn't find it intuitive enough and reverted back to Google Sheets. Even though it wasn't as fancy looking. Excel did what I needed and Airtable didn't win me over in the end.

After having used tools like Clickup and asana, I must say that Airtable is the most suitable tool when it comes to project management for a growth marketing team. The ability to add formulas so we can measure the expected impact of each initiative is truly a game changer.
My first few times using it, it took a while to get used to it because it seemed very complex, but after 1-2 weeks of consistent use, it became much easier and I could start to see the great possibilities Airtable allows.

Flexibility. Airtable is essentially a database that can be tailored and modified any way you like. In past roles I've used JIRA, Trello, Asana for agile project management, but there's invariably some workflow restriction of each of these apps. Airtable is most flexible project management tool I've ever used.
iOS app is a bit laggy. Also wish that boolean fields could be swiped on the main view, instead of having to open each record. Also, there's no python library for interacting with the API.

Using connections, we connect records in Airtable to other services like Eventbrite, Asana, MailChimp, and more. Workflows are then finished with the help of automation. While it's possible to find a template that fits your needs, it's well worth your time to learn how to create your own.
Airtable is a simple, collaborative database app. As long as the engineering team isn't too huge, working together on a bill of materials (BOM) is straightforward. One of my favorite features is the ability to create filtered views that are unique to each user.
When a company's workforce size increases, Airtable's price tag skyrockets. The options for exporting are restricted. Airtable is not the place to store documents. Airtable does not support complicated equations. The user interface isn't always the most obvious.

We have also used Airtable as a database for clients -- it's a great collaborative tool and has more flexibility than Google Sheets/Excel.
Airtable makes it easy for our agency to collaborate with clients on content management. Previously, we used Asana but the client could see too much into our internal back-end and collaboration. Airtable allows clients to see the front end, as well as submit revision request. This creates a cleaner, more professional experience for our clients.
It has come with a slight learning curve, but if you take the time upfront to determine the most efficient ways to set up your bases; the time it takes to set it up/learn is minimal compared to how much time it will save you long-term!

Overall, I love Airtable and have been very happy using it. It's so easy to use, flexible enough for virtually any use case, visually fun, and always being updated. Great communication from the company. Highly recommend!
Airtable is very user friendly and easy to get started with. You can make it as simple or as complex as you want for your use case. I love that I can enter my projects and tasks in a spreadsheet view, which is where I am most comfortable, but then easily share and manage in other more visual views.
The downside of the amount of flexibility you get with Airtable is that sometimes, that adds complexity. When I was using Airtable to collaborate with a team on project management, we found task management to be more challenging, mainly because there wasn't out-of-the-box functionality for that like you would find in Asana or a similar app.

We've been very happy with the service from Airtable for managing some of our tasks and collaborative environments. It has a very intuitive design, you can just pick it up and start using it as soon as, and it basically requires no setup which was good for our IT resources. Other than that, it's reasonably priced, and maintains good performance even when a few people are working on the same sheet at the same time. Very happy overall.
We really enjoy having a lot of different features available that we can explore, mainly stuff like document management, database, and data workflows. It lets you cover different needs without having to get a few separate tools and ten have to sync them together. The ability to consolidate all those feature sunder one roof is also good for the budget of course.
I'm not sure if it rises up to the level of tools like Monday and Asana for project management. There aren't as many project customization options and it tends to get a bit all over the place when the number of projects starts to increase. It would be good to have more views for projects and more customizations on the project level.

Other softwares like asana have the ability to switch quickly between list and kanban views, Airtable does not. Once a view is created, it is locked in. That is not very intuitive.... Also, the comments feature can be greatly improved. Right now it is just a scrolling feed that is left on certain modules. It needs to be more engaged as a discussion board and more compatible with every module.
ease of use, ease of deployment, high utility, cross platform compatible, high functionality with other softwares, effecient, smooth
Lack of comment functionality, some interfaces are not very intuitive, lack of ability to switch quickly between views

Initially, we used Airtable to help facilitate our server migration as a combo of project management and data record storage. We now utilize it to keep track of our client's server information that we share with our team for collaboration between members of the dev team.
Pricing - free for 2gb of storage and generous database entries limits. great for small projects! Integration - they make it super easy to integrate with project management software (I use Asana) and cloud storage (flawless with google drive). Collaboration - It's a breeze, you can add people to your sheets quickly and easily, as well as set user permissions to control who can do what with your data. We personally use it in our business to maintain the server records of our clients in tandem with our dev team.
I am probably in the minority here, but i do wish there was a Linux app for the desktop client.
