Pros

This has been a great management tool for our company, the integration of comms has been great and has allowed us to cut down on mails as which has been amazing.
The paid version has some excellent functionality additions like dependencies and custom labels/tags, which can be really helpful.
Overall, I love that Asana is super easy to use, but also has more advanced features when you need them.

Pros

The best feature of monday.com is its ability to help you integrate your tasks into your calendar. The easy to use tool allows you to efficiently manage projects and meet deadlines.
Visually stunning and satisfying great tool helps in smooth management of our projects, ditching the need for any spreadsheets and manual tracking.
I really love a lot about Monday. It's clean, has a beautiful design, easy to use and just overall a great product.

Cons

The worst thing is that some resources are paid, which limits the use of the platform by people who cannot pay.
Sometimes tickets get lost or buried but I feel that this comes down to user error and workload management and is not so much a fault of ht software or design.
I find it very inconvenient that I can't copy tasks to another project on mobile. This is my only complaint about Asana.

Cons

The software spam your inbox with many unwanted mails. Unable to track project goals easily.
We eventually stopped using this software because the UI was very limited in it's features. Our team didn't really catch on, and we abandoned the software after a year.
Terrible with the customer service. We are now actively looking for a replacement.

Pros

Thanks to several extremely helpful tools of Asana, I have been able to remain on top of my work and obligations as a marketing coordinator for a startup. The free version is very complete for basic work. I really love the tracking capabilities. Making checklists and crossing off accomplished chores are two things I like doing. The unicorn is a PLUS! I enjoy that I can use this to brainstorm ideas and plan out upcoming activities. Additionally, I enjoy how you can update tasks while still setting reminders for them.

Cons

The user interface is not friendly like Monday.com one.

An excellent platform for tracking and staying focused on my tasks

It's great. I barely had to spend much time learning how to use it. Very intuitive and really helps me cut through the deluge of information to find what I need at that moment.

Pros

Asana organizes information very well, whether that is tasks, sub-tasks, clients or all the projects for a client.

Cons

It isn't quite as easy to visualize progress or where we are stuck in a project, compared to Jira or Monday.com

Quite good, except for one big missing feature

It feels like you have to be a more experienced user than with other tools like Monday.com

Pros

It's easy to use, to mention colleagues and add files to different tasks to find everything in one place.

Cons

The main problem is that it doesn't have a feature that allows you to track time in real time. This feature is available in different integrations, most of them paid. So, if for example, I'd like to click "play" and start tracking my time and pause it, and then restart, I wouldn't be able to do it - and to assign it to different tasks, in order to have an idea of the time used in specific projects. This feature is available in Monday.com.

No issues yet, having used Asana for all types of projects, this truly is a project management tool!

Pros

I use Asana for work, for my side-hustle, and even for home! Very easy to use, easy to invite guests collaborators, and easy to manage important tasks and communicate along the way.

Cons

I think Monday.com has a better layout and is easier to move around but, this is not of too much importance to me personally.

Great project management tool

Having used it for the best part of a decade, Asana was a pleasure to use. The only reason we're no longer using Asana was because when we had to consider upgrading to the paid plans, we were recommended Monday.com which seemed better suited for our needs (careful though, Monday.com can quickly become more expensive than Asana's paid plans!)

Pros

The free version of this app took care of our small business needs for many years. The mobile app was a pleasure to use. Asana is reliable and very easy to get started on and using.

Cons

The primary feature that was missing from Asana was the ability to customise the project workspaces (compared to Monday.com where you can create custom columns to meet the project's specific needs)

More Features than Monday.Com

Way more functions than Monday.com or other platforms. Fairly priced. Know your project management strategy/approach first then use this as a tool to facilitate. Not vice-versa.

Pros

The amount of features that this platform has is incredible. At first glance, Asana seems like the average project management system, but after using for a few months you start to learn how to use the programs nuances to increase project velocity, speed up deliverables, and create layers of ownership and accountability throughout robust projects.

Cons

It is not super intuitive at first. The key thing for any organization is going to be "how do we use this to support or facilitate our current project management strategy." It supports most project management philosophies. But because of that, there are lots of features and functions at your disposal which you may not use but dilute the intuitive nature of the program. But the key to overcoming this is having a strong project leader who knows how they want to use this; and simply train others to use only the functions which are critical to the team. Then people can learn more nuances later.

Pros

You can create a task and then sign it out to another teammate and then they can reassign it back to you when it's completed. This is nice because it makes for a more robust system. It's actually a really sweet program because you're able to change views and you can look at date, likes, most recents, and even view by each account/client. This is great for account management!

Cons

Unlike Monday.com it doesn't give you a huge, clear overview of all of the tasks that all of the team members are working on. It feels a little separate from other teammates.

Asana is great, it's not perfect. But what PM software is, really. Asana has all the features and benefits of most tools, but the navigation has hiccups compared to other software like Monday.com or even Trello.

Cons

Easy to get started, and continues to improve with new features. Simple mobile version, and easy to reply to tasks on the go.

Cons

It works well for simple projects, but the communication on each element was a bit lacking. We found a product like Monday.com to have more options, features - and a better flow as far as communicating big projects.

Decent Project Management App

I use Trello, Monday.com and Todist for tasks and projects and all 3 tools are much more user-friendly, the UI is more comforting and intuitive and the customization of themes is more robust.

Pros

Asana is a great tool for managing all of your tasks and projects in one place. They have a plethora of integrations and work well on mobile. They have a fair amount of customization and are very feature heavy.

Cons

The overall app feels a bit stale in terms of design. I also found the workflows for setting up and checking off to-dos to feel a bit strange compared to other tools I've used. I've had several coworkers also mention that they've moved to other tools over Asana because it just doesn't come across as very user-friendly.
