What is Blockpad?
Blockpad gives engineers the tools they need to easily create clear, reviewable calculation documents that update like a spreadsheet when the numbers change. With this tool, engineers can create dynamic calculation documents that work like a spreadsheet, but look like a professional report.
By using Blockpad, spreadsheet-style formulas calculate inside of a word processor style environment. Users can simply press the equals sign and start typing their calculation like the inside of a spreadsheet cell. When finished, the calculation will appear in clear, math notation, so that users can better review their work.
Blockpad calculations also feature named equations and units intelligence, both of which make engineering calculations much easier and help to prevent and catch mistakes. In addition to the primary word processor interface, conventional spreadsheets and spreadsheet-style tables are available as well as 2D CAD style drawings so that users can make sketches that depict their calculations.
