Pros

We have really improved our working while using this tool because it allows us to save time and money while we can extract most of the benefits from this tool in a reliable way.
Box is a super reliable secure way to go paperless. It makes collaboration and sharing documents super easy.
Absolutely great it's almost like the corporate Dropbox. Much more secure and extremely user friendly and customisable based on your needs.

Pros

Used it multiple times to pay for travels and hotels is Asia, where the hotels don't have PayPal or accept credit cards. Super awesome service, and you feel secure from start to finish.
It’s really good to have transfer space of up to 2gig but also I like that quality of pictures and videos are not compromised. It’s very easy to use, you only need emails to transfer files.
WeTransfer is great for sharing files, and the best for sharing large-sized files. It is fast, reliable, easy to use, and has an amazing interface.

Cons

The Search functionality is so bad (doesn't work the way you think it should and rarely generates the results you're after) as to be almost useless.
Also recently I’ve received several error messages noting the some of my files could not be synced. Although this has only occurred with e or files, my concern is that it become a persistent problem.
It is very confusing thebnumber of versions of the same file you might get. There is no way you can see online the changes that are being made by somebody else.

Cons

Only negative is that some companies have fire-walls that block WeTransfer links, preventing the files from being downloaded from their servers.
I am unable to think of anything negative about my experience with this software.
If for some reason I forget to download, I have to request it again. Taking that out would not have things to criticize.

Box

Comparable to WetTransfer

Pros

Easy to use and most people have heard of it. Similar to WeTransfer as there is a free option which is great for small files.

Box

I was an early user of Box, but have moved on to G Suite

Reviewed 2 years ago

Initially I was able to share and collaborate on files, but I found better tools and did not stick with using this software.

Pros

I have used Box in the past when working with various corporations on large marketing projects (video production and websites). It was very useful when it was one of the only vendors of its kind, particularly for file sharing purposes. Once you were set up it was easy to share files with other clients and keep each other in the loop. The customer support is good, particularly when you aren't using it. It does a good job of prompting when you are going to hit limits, or if you haven't used it in awhile and are looking at potential expiration.

Cons

One of my initial reactions to getting started with box is that it is kind of a pain to get it installed and up and running. It looks like a lot has changed and they have expanded their features over the last few years, but for simple file sharing, I would prefer a much faster, simpler method such as WeTransfer. If I am going to collaborate with a client, I would look at sharing files or a folder using Google Drive. The storage options are better, and you get access to way more tools for the price per user.

Box

I've used Box intermittently over the last 3 or so years while working in advertising and tech.

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

Box is great for massive file sharing. If I'm sending an exceptionally large file, I'll send it via Box vs. another platform. Box is known for supporting large files and they certainly deliver on that. What's also great about Box is it has unlimited cloud storage which is not the case for competitors like Dropbox. It has all the necessary privacy and collaboration features that other file sharing platforms have, too, so it may be one of the best if not the best option out there. The main issue is people aren't as familiar with it.

Cons

The biggest con about Box which isn't inherently an issue with the software is many people, in advertising agencies, I've worked in, at least aren't familiar with Box so aren't as open to receiving files from Box as they are receiving files from WeTransfer and Dropbox. This doesn't mean these people won't open files from Box but it's lightyears easier to send people files through programs they know and recognize than programs they don't know and don't recognize. If Box were promoted more heavily from a consumer-facing standpoint vs. a business-facing one, perhaps more people in more industries would be more aware of it as an option.

WeTransfer

Transfer away!

Reviewed 6 months ago

It has been a valuable tool in sending files between clients.

Pros

This system allows for ease of use in transferring large amounts of data files safely to other clients, without needing a BOX or other Drive account.

Cons

There are some occasional ads that pop up as they do have a "pro" version available. This isn't burdensome in any way, but if the user isn't expecting this, might be apprehensive in using the free version.

WeTransfer

WeTransfer

Reviewed a year ago
Pros

WeTransfer is my favorite software to send and received bigger files which I use many times a year since the other emails have a limited capacity to send emails and sometimes I received bigger files to translate

Cons

I would recommend to have a mode to avoid the need of checking the box of agreement every time I want to donwload a file

WeTransfer

Easiest website ever!

Reviewed a year ago
Pros

The ease of use was incredible. Had to send files out to an international team and they could not access Box or Google Drive and I was stuck. This software saved me and took two seconds!

Cons

Could definitely expand it - the free version is very simple right now but it gets the job done.

WeTransfer

WeTransfer

Reviewed a year ago
Pros

For ease of use, it doesn't get much easier. For a software that you might not use very frequently or for long periods of time, this checks off all of the necessary boxes and is very reliable.

Cons

While it gets the job done, the design leaves some to be desired. It would be great to more clearly see the message you're drafting. The link expiration can be a slight annoyance sometimes.

WeTransfer

One of the best options for single large files

Reviewed 2 years ago

We often use WeTransfer to send large project files to our clients, because of its' ease of use, and great upload/download speeds.

Pros

WeTransfer is dead simple to use, and no account is needed for a single file up to 2GB. It's the easiest solution to email a file to colleagues/clients if you don't have an online storage account like Box, OneDrive, etc. Once your file is uploaded, it'll automatically send the file out to your recipients as well, no messy links to deal with!

Cons

Outside of the single-file, large upload, there's not a whole lot else going on. It's not really a direct competitor to file storages like Google Drive, Box, etc. - If you're looking to manage, store, and organize multiple files, you'll have to use a different platform
