What is deskMate Cloud Desktop?
deskMate Cloud Desktop is a Desktop-as-a-Service application for running virtual computers that are controllable via a PC, Mac, or smartphone. Access is made possible via an HTML5 web application, and the virtual computers can run Windows or Linux operating systems. The user's choice of operating systems can work via the user’s own hardware.
Since the deskMate Cloud Desktop software is accessible via HTML5, the package is device- and platform-independent. With the German cloud application, virtual desktop computers can be operated and controlled via the datacenters at Kivito company. Virtual desktops can run multiple monitors.
Cloud printers can integrate via an API interface. Documents are printed out from a local printer via the cloud when using trueDaaS printers.
Connection with the Kivito remote desktop takes place via an encrypted connection to servers in Germany. The cloud application provides a system for user management, allowing access restrictions, roles, and authorities — for example, to prevent HDD copying.
System image backups are automatically created every 12 hours, and Kivito also uses scale-out clusters and storage solutions to optimize system availability.
