An easy to use add on for storing and sharing files

2018-10-03

Way better than Google Drive or Microsoft's product.

Pros

I love that it is just another folder on my desktop. I also like that I can share that folder with internal people and customers. it is much easier than google which complicates things with links or requiring gmail addresses

Cons

There Is nothing about this product that I couldn't recommend. It is very easy to install and easy to use.

Not really sure how Dropbox got to be the preferred cloud drive for photographers

2018-05-10

I choose Google drive over Dropbox every single time.

Pros

Dropbox provides a decent amount of storage for free that is relatively easily shared via email and appears to be somewhat secure. Behaves somewhat like folders on a hard drive so intuitive to navigate.

Cons

When I need to review images, I usually download them to my hard drive or Google drive because it's much faster and I have multiple options for previewing that are more efficient.

Pros

Makes it really easy to create a folder with different files whether it be music or photos and then easily share the folder with multiple people

DropBox to send large files

2019-02-19

Pros

This software allows you to send large files over the internet to someone. Email attachments can be too large so this is one of your options. Your files are stored permanently in the cloud so you can use them further

Cons

There are other options better now in my opinion such as google drive as google drive works with google docs, google sheets, etc for document editing

Dropbox, a New Way to Save Documents

2019-01-04

Much better than using Google Docs or saving onto the Google Drive.

Pros

The great thing about Dropbox Business is the document sharing. It is also really convenient to have access to your documents anywhere because of the cloud feature. Even being able to pull it up on my iPhone was really nice. I could pull presentations up and plug in my iPhone and it made it easier than lugging around a laptop.

A decent alternative to GDrive

2018-11-22

Pros

Dropbox works well with a Microsoft account and I have used it for many times for backing up my photos from my mobile device. I like how the timestamp will play a major role as it will order the files automatically by time which is pretty useful for a timeline of my photos. The security around Dropbox is fantastic and I can securely upload, store and share files with clients to access when required.

Cons

There are limitations in free space in comparison with Google Drive. I get 15GB free storage with Google Drive and I have completely maxed out my space on Dropbox.

Pros

The speed of upload and download is good, The rate is also quite fine for bussiness.

Great cloud storage provider

2018-11-18

I prefer it to Dropbox from my experience, but mainly because I quit using Dropbox do to low free space offering years ago.

Pros

15GB for free is fantastic. Google photos uses their cloud for storing unlimited photos, or full resolution but counts against your free 15GB of storage. Easy to add files and to organize. Supported by many 3rd party apps and software. Affordable expansion of more space is needed.

Cons

Loss of desktop app. It isn't absolutely crucial, but a nice feature.

Drive is great

2018-12-06

Overall I would highly recommend using google drive over other services like dropbox. The cloud integration is extremely helpful and more intuitive than dropbox is.

Pros

Google Drive is one of the best google products that I use every day. The ability to share and restrict documents, sheets, and folders is very helpful to my business.

Great Option for Platform Sharing

2018-09-24

I suggested this as an alternative to dropbox and I think it has been a great decision.

Pros

The dashboard provides a easy to navigate space where you can post and share documents for the whole company. Multiple users can use at any given time and it provides a great place to store data.

Cons

If your company does not use gmail, google sheets, google docs, etc. it can be a little odd in the interface. Best used for companies that use G Suite as a whole.

Great solution for sharing files and online storage

2019-03-26

Even if Drive didn't improve from where it is now we'd still use it out of necessity because we need large amounts of email storage. It would be nice if the desktop experience improved though.

Pros

Emails we send in our Google Apps account tend to have larger attachments so we need more than the default storage offering. Google Drive storage is shared between gmail and Drive and means that we don't have to worry about sending so many large emails. This also means when files are too large to send with email that we can easily use Drive to share them.

Cons

The desktop experience is not a full replacement for dropbox in our opinion, so we end up using both Dropbox and Drive for our needs.

Preferred method for larger files

2018-12-29

I started using google drive over Dropbox a few years ago.

Pros

I am able to send larger files and have access to the files from multiple devices.

Cons

I have not had any issues with google drive. I believe there is a limit for storage but I have had issues with that.

Great for files on-the-Go

2018-08-04

Overall, Google Drive is a quick, easy and free way to store and share files. It has widespread integration with a large variety of apps and is intuitive and feature rich.

Pros

Having been made by Google, the software is very easy and intuitive to use. Sharing is fairly straightforward as well as collaborating with others. Sharing files and folders is easy since most people have a google account these days.

Cons

It's not DropBox which is what I usually use.

Excellent sync application for documents and files.

2018-03-13

Pros

It integrates well with other google products. I like the ability of being able to have documents online as well as on the computer by using G Drive.

Cons

Not as feature rich as dropbox but it works quite reliably.

Google Drive is an awesome cloud software!

2018-05-30

Drive is an excellent substitute to Dropbox and Box as well.

Pros

Though I prefer to use Dropbox, Google Drive also satisfies all my cloud service needs in order to store pictures, important documents, teaching and leisure books, videos, etc.

Cons

The only downside is I believe it is that you have to have a Gmail account to use it, so if someone does not have a Gmail account he has to create one.

Great place to store documents online

2018-05-23

Pros

This is a good place to save documents online. I like how it shows all the other Google docs I made by default.

Cons

It may be nice to have an automatic way to upload files like Dropbox does? You have to manual upload it, which is fine but Dropbox makes it easy.
