Pros

Its a very helpful tool. I use when when I work from home and I love when I have all my documents on my MacBook from dropbox- without copying them; they just are there, love it.
Love the different type of software it has to offer such as storage or the quality of being able to save.
Very user friendly interface sync is very reliable good retention features. Lan sync and smart sync features are great.

Pros

Filestream integrates perfectly with Windows Explorer. I LOVE that I can access files on my computer that are on the shared drive in the same way I would access a file in MyDocuments.
Overall I am pleased with drive. It is user friendly and being someone who is not tech savvy it is nice to be able to use without having to contact support.
Overall, I am very happy with Google Drive. It is a good investment when backing up your files.

Cons

The group and user policy is alittle bit weird to understand and alittle bit confusing. I had to redo the whole access policy twice because it was not working as i wanted.
To have the file uploaded in the background with limited speeds irrespective of the download or upload speed is something that has irritated me.
It has some integration that sometimes provides warnings through Excel, but other file types are completely at risk of having conflicting copies.

Cons

There isn't much I don't like about google drive. The offline work can be a little tricky at times and I have lost a few sentences due to this feature.
There is some frustration for lack of support for older devices which sometimes are just used for storage themselves.
Furthermore, it seems to keeps failing to sync a specific type of file (.suo , a Visual Studio related file) which however is only just a bit annoying and does not cause any trouble.

Dropbox is a company that any business owner can trust!

Reviewed 4 months ago

Very positive experience overall and recommended to anyone who's looking for a secure and trustworthy company to manage your files. Also, another major plus, is the ability to access files in multiple devices.

Pros

I loved how easy it is to use Dropbox and how seamless it can be when you have a team. Enjoyed the app tremendously.

Cons

Compared to Google Drive, which is another storage tool, it's way more cost-effective to use Google Drive.

DropBox to send large files

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

This software allows you to send large files over the internet to someone. Email attachments can be too large so this is one of your options. Your files are stored permanently in the cloud so you can use them further

Cons

There are other options better now in my opinion such as google drive as google drive works with google docs, google sheets, etc for document editing

A good service, but among huge services

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

It's a good option for personal uses, you get 2GB for free and the best feature I like is the camera auto sync.

Cons

It can't compete with Google Drive and One Drive, which have their own office suite to offer. Google Drive can provide a great integration with Google Photos, and One Drive can get much better with SharePoint. Unfortunately, Dropbox doesn't have either.

Amazing Capability, Lacking In Searchability

Reviewed 4 years ago

With Dropbox Business, file sharing is seamless and updates in real time. It allows us to communicate more quickly and effectively.

Pros

It works across all of our employees' devices and allows them to access files on the go. It would be hard to imagine life without it. An edit I make is visible immediately to everyone with access to that file and they even get a notification.

Cons

It's not as searchable as Google Drive, which could drive us to switch.

Dropbox Business has the speed you need

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

Dropbox for business is by far the fastest cloud storage. Synching behind the seems happens almost like magic. Intermittent uploads happen with little or no impact on the device. You can easily access documents and assets across multiple devices make this a must-have for teams allowing you to access files from anywhere fast.

Cons

Compared to Google drive the cost is significantly higher. I would love to see some more pricing tiers that are more competitive with Google drive.

Fast, Fun, Cheap and great integration

Cross platform integration. Keep files on the cloud and access through all devices. Safety is good and company has a good name.

Pros

Google always delivers when it comes to integration and user experience. Drive is fantastic if you use other products like Inbox or Gmail and uploading/downloading is quick. It is cheap to buy more space as well.

Cons

Very hard to think of cons. For business use I prefer business specific solutions such as Dropbox Business. It is just more tailored towards a professional setting.

Cons

When used in a business context, it might be somewhat lacking in security and admin features provided by the market leaders like dropbox business etc. For a free solution though it is very useful and would keep using this for a long time.

I have been using it for past 5-6 years, in the beginning in conjunction with Dropbox and then ditched the dropbox overall. I currently pay a monthly fee for a larger storage because I use it for personal and for business equally

Pros

It acts just like dropbox BUT is free and offers more storage. And also offer offline viewing option for documents

Cons

The desktop app is sometimes in need of manual sync and you cannot have multiple drive accounts on there

Google Drive

Our go-to for cloud-based sharing

Reviewed 4 years ago

Easy and simple to share and download. Far superior to DropBox with no clunky "add to my dropbox."

Pros

Easy to use, simple intuitive interface, very simple to share/control access to documents/files. 15GB free.

Cons

Easy to overload with old stuff and never clean it out. It would be nice to not have to tie to a gmail account.

Google Drive

Great web interface, great sharing, bad desktop experience

Reviewed 4 years ago

The web experience is mostly wonderful, but my desktop experience left me wanting much more than what is provided out of the box.

Pros

The ability to have all of our files, including Sheets and Docs in once place is incredibly useful and a step above what we had with Dropbox Business before.

Cons

Dropbox's native app is lightyears ahead of Google Drive. While Team Drive allows me to select which files to store locally more easily, the inability to create a share link from the start is a major disadvantage for my team and I.

Google Drive

2nd best cloud drive

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

It works smoothly almost without any bugs or lost data. And it's cheap

Cons

But not as smooth as Dropbox does. I feel like Google Drive takes more processor resources and battery than Dropbox
