Pros

Its a very helpful tool. I use when when I work from home and I love when I have all my documents on my MacBook from dropbox- without copying them; they just are there, love it.
Love the different type of software it has to offer such as storage or the quality of being able to save.
Very user friendly interface sync is very reliable good retention features. Lan sync and smart sync features are great.

Pros

The best features of Slack are its innovative interface and easy to use features. Slack makes it simple, and even kind of fun, to communicate with your coworkers quickly.
I like the different slack channels for various departments, tech-support, team, individual messaging, and celebrating my teams successes or helping each other out with account challenges.
Slack has been a winner for me no matter which role I am filling. Teams adopt it quickly it's easy to use, easy to set up, and has abundant opportunities for integrations.

Cons

The group and user policy is alittle bit weird to understand and alittle bit confusing. I had to redo the whole access policy twice because it was not working as i wanted.
To have the file uploaded in the background with limited speeds irrespective of the download or upload speed is something that has irritated me.
It has some integration that sometimes provides warnings through Excel, but other file types are completely at risk of having conflicting copies.

Cons

While they are only visible to me, I am always worried that I accidentally posted something wrong.
I disliked the inability to make a public group "private" after it's creation. Would occasionally lag and my.
I hate hate hate how often I struggle with using the video share and audio when someone calls me on slack. It almost never works for me.

Sharing files and documents securely

We are scaling back our use of Dropbox since Google Drive can integrate with Slack

Pros

I liked the ability to save documents and files that are accessible anywhere there is an internet connection. Sharing the files is easy using a secure connection.

Cons

There are better options using Google Drive or OneDrive. It’s easier integrating these applications with other software.

A great file sharing tool for collaborative teams

Reviewed 3 years ago
Pros

Dropbox business provides a great way to pass files back and forth between team members. Using a tool like slack to serve this purpose really limits what you can do. We've often had issues where we couldn't find old files that we've needed with slack but Dropbox solves this.

Cons

Setting up some of the syncs can be a little tricky but Dropbox really gives you the tools you and your team needs to succeed.

Dropbox proves to be competitive and has good characteristics.

Reviewed 4 years ago

Dropbox is a very simple platform to use, each of its functions comes with instructions to really provide them and in order to help all kinds of users.

Pros

I like Dropbox because of an infinity of characteristics that it has. Currently one of the most striking is its fast transaction of files, it is a function that has gradually taken on life and that currently manages that any type of file is sent or received in a matter of seconds. In addition, Dropbox has an excellent accessibility, allowing transfer files from a mobile phone and everything from a link.

Cons

You should improve the implementation you have with Slack, since the file transaction through that platform and Dropbox, is not very good and does not give the same speed.

Great tool for sharing files

Reviewed a year ago

Really useful for team collaboration as we can get everyone's input on projects. It also feels really secure sharing a link with customers so they can download our assets from one central location as opposed to having to send them individual logos, etc, all the time.

Pros

We use Dropbox to house all our brand assets so we can easily share them with other team members and customers. Dropbox is easy to use and upload files to, and it's really easy for customers to view and download our assets from. Being able to leave comments on files is also helpful, especially if we are collaborating as a team.

Cons

Maybe I'm missing something, but I still log in if I want to add something to our folders - it can get a bit tedious. If I'm trying to share something quickly I might do so on Slack which I know isn't our company's best practice.

Who knew storage could be this fun!

Reviewed 8 months ago

I love the product for what it does, since it does it well. Rather than a docusign or google docs alternative I would have preferred better integrations with third party software. As a storage solution however, it is an app that keeps you coming back.

Pros

- The user interface is mind-blowingly aesthetic. Layout is very intuitive - Creating shared folders is very quick - Automated folder feature. I love being able to unzip files automatically when they are uploaded. I also use the automatic renaming feature. - Integrations with the G Suite as well as the Microsoft Suite. - We use the business API in our product. The documentation is excellent, the app...

Cons

- Not cheap - Searching does not work for Trash - Collaborative tools like Paper do not really work with concurrent edits. Google Docs wins in this regard - The existing integrations are really good, but there aren't enough integrations. e.g. An integration with Gong, Salesforce, Slack etc. would really useful

One Of The Original P2P Programs For Business Is Still Great (Mostly)

Reviewed 2 years ago

Dropbox Business is a great way to keep your small team's important files in the cloud. However, if you're concerned about expense, or are already using team tools like Google Drive, Slack, and other options, Dropbox Business is a better option as a backup, rather than a fully-integrated software solution.

Pros

Having worked with Dropbox many years ago in college and then Dropbox Business in my career, I can say I have grown as this brand and its services have grown. It's always been a fantastic, generally easy-to-use interface for sharing large files, particularly media files intended for eventual consumption by the public. It remains so, but depending on the size of your team and the size of the files you intend on sharing, there are easier, more direct options (like Google Drive and even Slack).

Cons

While I still use Dropbox Business as a reliable backup for sending and storing files of significant size, Google Drive is more integrated with the suite of software we already use. Thus, using Dropbox Business for our day to day sharing needs is a redundancy, rather than a necessity.

Dropbox Has Completely Changed the way we Share Work with Clients

Reviewed 3 years ago

The biggest business problem we are solving is the ability to share all of our office files in a single repository. This eliminates email requests and even Slack requests as everyone knows that all files are in the Dropbox and everyone has access. This saves our team quite a bit of time and keeps people locked in on creative projects without getting distracted with too many requests.

Pros

Our number one favorite feature in Dropbox is the ability to share a link to a file with clients and have them make comments right on the file. If we're sharing a video, they can comment at exact spots in the video, and they can markup graphic files. Additionally, Dropbox saves us an incredible amount of time in the office, as we no longer have to request files from various members of our design team. With our shared Dropbox folders, everyone can access everything, and with version control, nothing is ever lost.

Cons

Occassionally we've had issue with the "smart sync" feature downloading files to our machines when we didn't request to have that happen. It's a minor annoyance that we're hoping to see fixed in a future release.

Decent file storage and sharing as a standalone, might be better if part of a stack

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

I've used Dropbox when I've worked with a few clients to securely share and store documents. Their mobile and desktop web apps work well, and they offer a lot of storage. The integration with Windows Explorer works well too. I worked in the Document and Records Management space for several years, and Box.net is a solid service. I've only used their freemium app as a standalone, and on a sporadic basis for clients who preferred it. Version control, search and foldering all seem to work quite well, and it works well to capture my screenshots of images for certain projects.

Cons

The only drawback to Dropbox to me is that it isn't part of a productivity suite like O365 or G Suite. It works fine with Word, Excel, PDF and other O365 files, but it's another log-in for another set of folders and storage. If I used Dropbox every day, and leveraged one of the many integrations they support, like Slack or Salesforce, I wouldn't call this out as a negative.

Gland to have Dropbox Business

Reviewed 2 years ago

It's useful for synchronizing records starting with one PC then onto the next (for example work, home, versatile). I would not say it is acceptable (or financially savvy) as a business cloud document stockpiling administration. Maybe it is gainful as a business' cloud reinforcement of their neighborhood server. My general involvement in Dropbox Business was magnificent, however, I needed to drop it because of the significant expense, which contends with Google Drive. I despise everything to utilize the free form of Dropbox for my association, particularly with everything identified with collaboration, however, I need to state that the Business one has better highlights and offers more space for your reports.

Pros

love that this product permits to share data progressively. I believe it is astounding when working with a group. It gives a computerized working space, which is exceptionally required nowadays. Additionally, individuals can make changes to a similar record without losing their unique functionalities. It, at any rate, advises you that another person is in the record. The paper appears to be slick and you can include Slack incorporation with the goal that's cool as well.

Cons

They frequently require extra strides to simply get a document through. Anything as basic as import to peruse would satisfy my solitary concern.

Get access to your files anywhere!

Reviewed 9 months ago

Dropbox Business is a perfect option for your business if you're looking for a Cloud Storage service. Dropbox Business allows us to share files smoothly with our clients and team members. Internet Marketing companies have to share a lot of different types of files in various file sizes; we understand it is difficult to send them all by email, and that collaboration is hard. Fortunately, Dropbox Business Plan provides a solution. It removes the concerns about how to store files.

Pros

First of all, Dropbox integrates with a wide variety of third parties, like Canva, Slack, Zapier, and Otter. These features make life easier for Dropbox users. Additionally, Dropbox paper makes collaboration easier with my team, which allows for comments, emojis, and stickers. Finally, Dropbox is better when it comes to data loss protection because it allows admins to disable user uploads. As long as they are authorized to do so, they will be able to access and download the files they need.

Cons

In some cases, Dropbox will not sync correctly, so you must make a new copy of the file. Syncing files also sometimes takes a long time. If you run out of space, it will remind you a few times, but it will also stop syncing, which can be confusing if you don't understand why your file no longer appears online.

Pros

The product itself is very easy to use and user-friendly. Training is not necessary. The integration with other system works perfectly, I use Salesforce, Slack, Microsoft Teams and Windows itself, they are all working splendidly. The Transfer functionality is particularly useful in my line of business. It allows me to share content without having to request an account creation to my client. The integration with Windows is particularly useful to move your offline files to Dropbox without needing any browser.

Cons

Sometimes sharing files can become complicated and it would be nice to see if the file is visible from their side.

Our organizations uses Slack to share small files and dropbox to share large files. The feature to set permission for a folder and even to each of its sub folders ensures the data is shared among the right people. Our manager uploads even the extremely confidential files as he knows nothing will go out of the network shared. The desktop client application just act like another folder in the computer and file synchronization is just like copying from another folder and pasting in to the dropbox folder.

Cons

If a large folder is shared with me from the organization and my plan is just the basic one, it doesn't even allows me to view that folder until I pay for a premium. If you decline the pop up to pay for premium upon receiving a large folder, every thing will start functioning unusually. Even though the 1TB plan is very affordable, I found out that if a large folder is shared with me, I can't browse even the files in other folders smoothly without paying them a subscription fee.

Slack

the benchmark for team collaboration

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

Google drive and dropbox integrations make it the best in the business. Setup takes 5 minutes, adoption is a breeze. The bot is getting better by the day. Would recommend any business unit in small to large.

Cons

Can't think of too many problems. The notifications are great, but somehow are not reliable, maybe this is a problem at my end. But I am still trying to discover why notifications are getting delayed on the phone.

Slack

The Best Communication Tool for Business

Reviewed 3 years ago

Slack makes it very easy to work with others. With public or private channels you can work with your team, ask questions, or share documents really easily. It makes getting feedback or answers much quicker and can really help eliminate the long, cumbersome email chains.

Pros

It makes it so easy to communicate and collaborate with team members. The integrations with things like dropbox and google drive also help with making everyday business activities more efficient.

Cons

It certainly doesn't replace email and sometimes it can be overwhelming to have so many messages you feel you need to address immediately.

Slack

Great communication tool

Reviewed 4 years ago

It's a great tool that every company should use. It helps me communicate with my colegues (with one person or with several people at once) and it's so easy to use.

Pros

The best thing about Slack is that I can connect Dropbox to it, I can share files with my colleagues and gain instant access to Dropbox files by sending Dropbox link within a Slack conversation.

Cons

I can't say that there's something I don't like about this software. Mybe the notification sounds could be better.

Slack

Making communication easier for small businesses

Reviewed 3 years ago
Pros

Very easy to set up. It can be expanded from a small business to a large one. Communication on different topics can be split up per topic/team. Slack can also integrate other apps like google drive, Dropbox, and box.

Cons

It is harder to communicate with organizations not on slack. You can have too many channels and it becomes more difficult to keep track of all of them.
