Nextcloud has been a nice collaborating tool, we can share with easy files across departments. And it has nice sharing features, like making guests upload into a folder.

The thing I don't care for the most is the lack of documentation for the Freenas / Truenas integrations for when something goes wrong. Also the lack of 2fa out of the box is down side as well.

The overall experience with Nextcloud is great we use it all the time and it runs great on our Truenas box.

NextCloud is super easy, even my non techie friends who've used basic google suite stuff transition very easy. Not to mention how motivated they are to de-Google without sacrificing convenience.

Administrating NextCloud servers is just fun, with the integrated command line (occ) you can manage almost everything in an easy way. There are good manuals around if you run into any problems.
