Pros

Filestream integrates perfectly with Windows Explorer. I LOVE that I can access files on my computer that are on the shared drive in the same way I would access a file in MyDocuments.
Overall I am pleased with drive. It is user friendly and being someone who is not tech savvy it is nice to be able to use without having to contact support.
Overall, I am very happy with Google Drive. It is a good investment when backing up your files.

Pros

I liked M-Files because of the ability to organize company files in a secure location. I used M-Files to fully store my Tax program in my previous position, and loved everything about it.
The setup for workflows is amazing and easy to do. It uses a graphical interface that is fun to experiment with but at the same time powerful and highly customizable.
It will be the best money you spend and will save you the cost is saved searching in weeks.

Cons

There isn't much I don't like about google drive. The offline work can be a little tricky at times and I have lost a few sentences due to this feature.
There is some frustration for lack of support for older devices which sometimes are just used for storage themselves.
Furthermore, it seems to keeps failing to sync a specific type of file (.suo , a Visual Studio related file) which however is only just a bit annoying and does not cause any trouble.

Cons

It creates synchronization problems in places where the internet connection is not reliable and there may be version problems.
What I dislike about the M-Files is User interface quite diffuclt to get used. They need to impove as well.
Also you does not find files sometimes because you need to put keywords but you may forgotten.

Easy to use. Great storage!

Reviewed 6 years ago

I benefit from this product by being able to access my files anywhere I go, and fr M any device I sign into.

Pros

My favorite feature of the drive is the ability to collaborate and share files via the drive. Anyone with access to that drive can add/access any and all documents within the drive.

Cons

Nothing - I haven't had any issues using the drive. I use the drive for work daily and the only time any issues occur is when there is an internet outage.

Pros

I like all my documents can be saved in files and accessed from any of my devices. I also find uploading to Google Drive videos is much easier and then sharing with other platforms such as Teachable is much faster than loading from m computer.

Cons

I have not found anything yet. So far Good Drive has been very supportive and easy to use. Nothing has been a con to day.

Have made files accessible easy for me

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

Honestly I like to work anywhere and when I have free time somewhere the I want to cash it by doing brainstorming so I need documents and client briefs. Now its accessible through my phone and I can work anywhere I want. The other part is I have setup folders for my clients so they can download what they want and have bought its subscription so now I have no space issues. Internally I have setup assets folder for all my clients and it have become very easy to share any clients assets with a particular creator i want with no headaches.

Cons

I have multiple drive accounts one for my personal and others are of teams i m working on with. The bad part which I felt so far is that when I use a different google drive account other than default on the website and try to download something it gave me error that i m not authorized. I realized the main problem is if I download 2 files together it creates zip file and made it a successful download but if I try to download single file it gave me the error saying i m not authorized.

G-DRIVE: a faster way to Manage Routine Office Works

Reviewed 5 years ago

I use them to create project work plans, timesheets, training documents, official documents, invoice, quote, and many more. It saves time and provide better reachability to the concerned person to whom I have shared with, and vice versa.

Pros

Google drive comes up with many document types such as spreadsheet, text document, presentations, online forms, and so on. Files and even folders can be uploaded and/or shared through this. N number of people can work on M number of items(files or folders) simultaneously through the secure sharing options. The desktop synchronization facility add flavor to this by availing option to work offline and sync files at a later point of time.

Cons

Basically two features, one is the general look and feel of the folder and file arrangement are not eye catching. Secondly, even though there are many features in drive, the customer service or online knowledge base is very limited.

Good Fit for Cloud Sharing but Some Features still lack.

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall we had fine experience as we cannot find a universal software that can do all the tasks for us just like Google Drive but some pros and cons are always there which come up least.

Pros

I've been using Google Drive since I bought m first android smartphone and still I'm using it because of ease of use and sharing. All you need is a Gmail account that every android user has. Right now I'm using it full time for sharing files with clients as Freelancer, and It works well for less bulky files. 15GB Storage is enough for someone who want to share documents.

Cons

I know how close YouTube and Google are but still users cannot to upload Videos directly from Google Drive to YouTube and I don't know why this functionality doesn't catch their attention. Indeed it is a golden opportunity for developers to make such softwares. Downloading files in zip form isn't something cool because of end up wasting time as it keeps stopping again and again even if you use IDM. Uploading files to someone else's folder also takes up your drive space which is another poor functionality, and you can find that files in "My Drive" too. Storage space is limited to only 15 GB, extended storage is very expensive as compared to other cloud based storage. Uploading keeps restarting again and again when you network is a bit slow.

Sending big files the easy and fast way

Reviewed 6 years ago
Pros

Ever since I discovered Google Drive, the way I share things changed abruptly. I remember just suffering so much when trying to send big files until this beautiful app came through. Actually most of my friends receive my photos (yes besides being a journalist I´m a photographer too) the Google Drive way. Now days I uses this on a regular basis and I couldn´t be happier with it. Sharing big files was never this easy.

Cons

Well I do wish that Google Drive would allow me to send over 25 MB but that´s ok, I´m just glad that it works so nice and fast.

Cons

Well I,m not sure it is cons, well they block some extension which is they updated it then they didn't give notification to us to save or dowload our files before they block those extension... I'm really feel dissapointed on that time but I know the reason why they block and I have no choice.

G Drive Daily User

Reviewed 4 years ago

I use drive on a daily basis for file storage and collaboration among my colleagues, clients and I within the M&A/Business consulting sector.

Pros

I like the security and privacy capabilities in terms of restricted access. I also like the large storage capacity and ability to collaborate with coworkers easily. I like the cross-functionality with other G Suit tools.

Cons

I think the search and document movement functionalities could be improved. Also, the way the files all come up regardless of which folder and access they belong to can be overwhelming.

Free Cloud

Reviewed 5 years ago

So far it`s been amazing. I have three different cloud services but Google Drive wins by far just because of the simple interface and being so easy to use.

Pros

It`s amazing. Being able to upload, share, download files at need is just amazing. Huge cloud capacity. The interface is also very simple, readable and understandable which give a huge edge over other cloud services.

Cons

The security checks are sometimes annoying. I`m not saying it`s bad, they`re there for protection, but sometimes it just takes so much time confirming it`s actually me.

A useful product for cloud file storage

Its storage system is not based on folders but rather files only. This ends up taking too much time if you need to upload a huge set of files.

Easy File Management

Reviewed 5 years ago

Great time to value (up and running in hours). Administration is intuitive and requires minimal expertise. The user experience is well integrated with Windows (can access using a drive map). Suitable for on-premier or cloud deployments, including AWS Workspaces of VMWare OneSpace.

Pros

Seem less integration with Windows and Active Directory. Users can simply drag and drop files into the M-Files client or via a browser (requires plug-in). User can tag favorite files and search based on multiple file attributes or tags. Server setup (Window 2012 or higher) is straightforward with the option of M-Files database or Microsoft SQL server. For smaller organizations, I recommend using the built-in database option. M-Files installation and administration requires much less planning compared to SharePoint.

Cons

Not a full featured when compared to SharePoint. Does not offer collaborative features such as Web or Office365 integration.

M-Files

A perfect Content Management System

Reviewed 5 years ago

For the company right now, M-Files works and Management can access documents easily.

Pros

M-Files works well on a single machine or on a server. I have deployed it on to an i5 server and we are 5 users that use the software to search for Travel Coupons. Search feature works well and the best thing is that it integrates with Windows and Windows products like One Drive and Outlook. It makes it easier for us to share documents. The workflow feature is quiet robust and if thought out well can replace manual approval processes.

Cons

M-Files does not come fully packed with all features at a price point. We have to pay for Electronic Signature and If I want Digital Signature I have to pay 3rd party for the signature account and then M-Files for the integration. This is a bit tricky if you have budgeted an EDMS and all of a sudden all these pay walls appear. M-Files comes with Firebird DB embedded as default. It is quiet good but large organizations will have to move to MS SQL sooner than later as the retrieving becomes slower as there are more Objects in a Vault.

Hello Ravi, we are happy to hear that you find value in the M-Files workflow feature. I would also like an opportunity to discuss the other areas of your review where M-Files is not performing as you wished. If you are open to a conversation, please contact me. Thank you.

M-Files

Go-to application for any Digitization Project

Reviewed 6 years ago

M-files is a must for any company seeking to implement digital transformation initiatives in their company. I love best is its extensive feature set and seamless integration with Microsoft products (e.g., office, IIS server, MS SQL, Windows, etc.) The workflow feature is easy to customize, setup, and implement. It will change the way you deal with paper documents once you experience how easy it is to digitize, and manage your documents. The OCR functionality is a beast! Just like having Google on your local repository, reading through the very contents of your digital documents.

Pros

The thing I like the most is the seamless integration with Microsoft products. This made it easy for implementing the use of M-files into our office workflow (it works well from within Outlook, Microsoft Office, even Windows Explorer). The creation of a Workflow is made very easy via a graphical workflow editor. Just a little learning curve and we are able to setup the different manual processes into a solid digital workflow for the office (e.g., filing for leave, routing of papers for approval, storing scanned copies of contracts and any kind of document in the office).

Cons

When implementing on a large scale (e.g., company-wide) we really had to sit down and plan out our licensing arrangement. Note that M-Files comes in a variety of licensing options (e.g., read-only, named user, concurrent user). Some offices can possibly share licenses (but number of active sessions will be limited). Planning out the best license option is quite a task since we were woking on a limited buget and we had to optimize the value-for-money setup we can have. It can also be a bit overwhelming for new users. We had a bit of difficulty in the deployment since we had to train all the users (who found it not so intuitive at first). But then, after the training, it has then been integrated well for our daily use.
