After I was thousands of dollars into it with subscription fees and set up labor including countless hours on the phone with their support - we discovered that it could not in fact do what the salesperson said it could.

Other than what you would expect in the project management tab (schedule, to-dos), what we find most helpful are the daily logs and client updates.

I’ve been a long-time Buildertrend user, and while the software itself is fine and generally works as advertised, I’ve run into a major issue that anyone considering this platform should be aware of: it’s extremely difficult to export your information if you ever decide to leave.

They also make it incredibly difficult to retrieve your information and export it out if you cancel.

As a result, I’ve been forced to continue paying for a platform I’m no longer actively using simply because I need access to my historical project data.

Sometimes Buildertrend’s eagerness for constant improvement makes the portal more convoluted and makes some features redundant.

Studio conversion

Buildertrend slowed down the payment a little bit for the contractor, as I had to verify small payments that went into my bank.

Sometimes I also log deliveries or check the timeline when things are moving fast.

Communication with subcontractors and field installation crews.

The best thing about it is that I can assign the jobs for the subcontractors and see everything through their Daily Logs.

Some find the UI to be cluttered or unintuitive, especially when switching between desktop and mobile.

Instead of ease of use and making the load lighter we struggled figuring out where everything was, having to rearrange and re enter what we had already put in.

For anyone managing construction projects, it’s a powerful and reliable tool.

I dont need to go to the field to see the details, I can easily manage the job just looking to the pictures and the information that they upload.

In buildertrend you have the ability to keep all information from your client in one program.

The scheduling and client communication tools are my go-to.

All in all BT is a good software to send customers change's to approve and pay, track the progress of the project, manager purchase orders and even pay invoices.

There is so much functionality I don't use it to it's fullest and the "college" only occurs in one place that is far from our location in Florida.
