CAD Proteus 8 is a software suite that consists of several programs, including Proteus PCB, Proteus VSM, and Proteus Design loT.
Proteus PCB enables the input of printed circuit board schematics that allow for the reuse of projects and the creation of assembly variants. This tool offers the possibility of using more than 15 million electronic components.
It includes a configurable list of materials and takes into account the constraints of each project with an auto-router and dedicated support for high-speed signals. The software also provides signal fine-tuning, differential pairing, and automatic distortion correction.
The Virtual System Modelling (VSM) tool allows simulations to be performed by combining SPICE mixed mode with microcontroller simulation. The VSM simulations take into account the hardware and the firmware. They allow users to test or debug the projects before making a prototype.
Conception loT is a tool that allows users to design Arduino or Raspberry Pi applications, with the possibility of remote control functionality via a smartphone or a web browser.
