WOW, all that I can say is that probably this is the most important software to make blueprints in the world.
The biggest disadvantage of AutoCAD is that it comes with a lot of problems, which is to be expected from a tool that can do so much. It seems reasonable to me.
The AutoCAD is very good to be used for many industries like construction and industrial / manufacturing process as well, good for beginners and professional level as well.
Sometimes the user interface becomes annoying, file can get very big and may crash the computer, drawings can get corrupt.
I use this program all of the time because their Features are awesome powerful tool and easy for professional and beginners.
It is frustrating when in the AutoCAD updates over the years that the interface has changed so much that it makes it hard to adjust and find things.
Excellent for architects and engineers, all functions and tools are easy to use, and have an excellent cost benefit.
The 3d is terrible and right now the 3d is absolutely need for design.
It is the most accessible CAD software to date with lots of documentation and a great and responsive community. Very user friendly and a well designed interface.
I have been using AutoCAD (Mostly 2D) for almost 9 years now and I found it very useful, easy to use, and great platform for drafting anything you like.
It was one and still is the best Architectural software they was and will every be. I remember how easy it was to make designs and configure settings to my liking.
Great software with a great user interface that has a ton of functionality to it.
Firstly, I like all the features in AutoCAD which make the software one of the best in engineering designs. Also, it is not complected and that make the software easy to use for any user.
I love the shortcut keys for various tools, it makes the job a lot quicker. As a Mechanical Engineer , I really love spending time with different drawings in this cool software.
Overall, I think AutoCAD has been a great addition to our company. We needed a 3D drawing tool and even with the price, I believe AutoCAD was the best software for us.
I love how easily other pieces of software can integrate with it and how you can produce quality looking technical drawings within a relatively short time-span.
This is also backed up by AutoDesk's excellent customer service and a very large catalogue of training documentation and tutorials online.
The software keeps improving with update and the integration with other software as well as the online version gives me interest working experience.

The scenes feature is great for architectural presentations and paired with a rendering software like Enscape or Lumion it works like magic. Also workshop and all the add-ons are amazing.
It's not discovered yet by me what is most disappointed about this product because all I needed to switch to this software is inbuilt within and therefore can't say I'm disappointed in using it.
Easy to use, with a friendly layout and intuitive commands. Reliable and trustable software for all kind of projects.
The only real issue I had with Sketchup was the lack of stp export options. This made it unusable when working with overseas manufacturing vendors.
And even the software went through different owner companies, the product is still here, amazing, easy, and stay affordable. Keep going this way please.
It causes hours of wasted work to fix and that is time and money. It also affects business by not being able to deliver a serviceable idea to the clients.
Great software, geolocation feature is great. Easy to create a rough sketch of the work for easy visualization.
Poor product that crashes and freezes, no ability to contact customer support, no refunds.
I like that you can get a design from other creators and use it for my projects. It really helps a lot in improving my designs.
I am completely satisfied with the experience I have had with Sketchup, it makes my job a lot easier and even fun to use.
This software is the best one as far as i know. It's very easy to use on modeling and the i mostly like the the model percision inside.
Great work environment, tabs and tools that are easy to access, simple and intuitive, proving to be effective and allowing the addition of new tools and plugins that streamline my work.
Easily the best feature about the software is the online support. The walkthroughs make picking up SketchUp a breeze and after a few lessons I had a solid grasp on the fundamentals of the program.
This program is a great tool to have under your belt. It helps explain ideas in 3d and makes it easy to start a concept without using over priced software.
There are plenty of video tutorials and customer support is great. It is easy to use and the designs can be attached in professional documents.
Overall, the functionalities are great and the price is just right for it.
The ability to rapidly produce models for study, and the extensive palette of tools provides the ability to enhance basic models to presentation-quality products.
Very easy to setup and free for schools. There is now a web based version optimized for Google Chrome browser and integrates with Gsuite.

Great software for 2D/3D modeling with great features. Customer support is good and try to resolve the issues on priotity.
The pricing model of solidworks is very poor, It's the worst among all it's competitors. The updates of the Solidworks doesn't effect in terms of features at all.
Solidworks is an amazing software, it's software which gives life to all I have in mind. It helps me design faster and more accurate than software's like AutoCAD.
The biggest issue with this software is that the errors need to be more detailed and specific, sometimes it is very hard to figure what the user has done wrong.
It is the best software I've used in 3D modeling and i cna say by far, it is the best. Great and friendly user interface and shortcut keys are also easy to learn.
The error messages are difficult to figure out that what the system is actually trying to say.
Overall, I am working with SolidWorks by just fine. It is powerful, fulfills my need.
Crashes at least once a day unexpectedly and with little to no warning, with no hope of recovery, even on hardware built specifically for running SW.
Overall Solidworks is powerful and easy to use. It can do so much more than I need for my work, and I am constantly finding new, exciting features to try out.
I'm doing my undergraduate project design and simulations works on SOLIDWORKS software, besides that, I'm working as a freelancer on Fiverr with help of this awesome software.
Features like Drafting, Surfaces, Sheet Metal, Simulations are very useful. Features like animations and renderings add more values to our business.
I love the ability to visualize my systems before asking our machine shop to build them.
It's easy to learn ,it's user friendly, drawing of complex surface can be done , ease of integration with other software.
And the vast tools which are there to be used is almost perfect to do any design we desire. And the cost is very reasonable for a CAD softaware.
I love the tools that can be used in designing because they are easy to use.
It is simple to use, works well even on low-performance PCs, and has a good user community that exchanges expertise. Therefore, resolving issues that arise throughout the project is simple.
I used this program for an engineering internship and it made our lives a lot easier and saved us money because we did not have to buy the parts or get someone to make them for us.
Making animation is very easy. It is available with a 3DS system which makes it easy to integrate with DS products.

With great Autodesk help support and an active online community, you can always find solutions to any issue you may have. I have been recommending Revit to colleagues every chance I get.
I hate the way the walls should be painted, the lack of compatibility between the various versions of the program, and how long it takes to do a single project.
The product offers high quality 3D views of any structure and is fantastic for coordinating with other divisions of engineering in a construction project.
I also think their error messages are not detailed enough. It makes it hard for you to know what the actual issue is, just that something went wrong, or something was deleted for no reason.
It is a great software for modeling of construction to help us to save time and money modeling your projects3.
Partly because the BIM competition is still weak and partly because now we have invested so much time that it would be hard to recreate all this experience again.
Revit is an awesome software, and great for connecting to clients who aren't very "visual" people and can't read 2D drawings.
So that if you have older version computer, you may feel uncomfortable sometimes.
Its ease of use and versatility makes it a great BIM software for many engineering and architecture companies. Unlike AutoCAD, I think Revit is easier to understand, to navigate, and to adopt.
The best advantage provided by Revit program is the coordination between multiple people working on the same project so several discipline can collaborate easily.
Program allows students to learn basics (and more) of architectural design. Some more expansive tutorials would be nice as only beginner workflow has really proven useful for students.
I love more about Revit that you can share your project wiht anyone in everywhere. And everybody can work the same project, in diferents part of it, in the same time.
Revit helps me to draw 3D visualized models of house plans. Specially for civil engineers, this software is one of the best visualizing software which can freely downloaded form internet.
Revit is also backed up by AutoDesk's usually excellent customer service and licencing options.
Overall I hightly recommend to purchase revit if u are in construction business. This software is cost effective and less time consuming interms of creating 3d models.
Loved working with Revit, very easy to use, and time flies when using this software.
Seamless integration with other Autodesk solutions (NavisWorsk, Robot .. etc.). Plenty of training resources online.
They keep releasing new updates and features every year and with its open api, we are able to create many useful plugins.

Then I realized that I could myself produce my own 3D models and I found on Onshape the perfect tool for it. It also has great features that allows you to produce perfect models.
Lack of offline caching causes Models to need to be reloaded when experiencing poor network coverage such as riding down the interstate while working on a customer design.
This is because Onshape is so portable, stable and reliable. It is a solid solid modeler with some very thought through features that are tested with the community before deploying it into the wild.
Printing is a bit of a pain; gotta export / download file and then print.
The stability of the software has been flawless, with minor hiccups being rapidly fixed by the outstanding customer support team.
It is training and support that differentiates competitors. Onshape training is totally inadequate in my experience.
Great support; excellent training available; powerful but economical; fairly easy to begin, even for newbies.
The lack of well-integrated CAM makes the final step in engineering solutions a bit harder than some other packages.
It will be great if you organize on site training, I am sure you can get a good turn out in KL. As a start you can help to build the local Onshape community.
I also love how easy it is to share designs with other members of my team. The import from other CAD file types works great and so far it's just been very easy to use and get used to.
Designing parts and mechanisms from any computer, just wow. Quickly sharing, very good version tracking - it's the real deal.
It offers a lot of lessons for rookies and is generally a great platform for people who are transitioning from a simple CAD software like Tinkercad, to something more complicated.
This software helps generating complex 3D printed objects and smaller architectural projects. It helps with with getting the projects done.
This software seemed to have the best workflow out of the other similar design products I evaluated.
Onshape is perfect for people looking for a funcational CAD without the prohibitive cost. It will do just about all that the major CAD programs will do.
Browser accessibility, live collaboration, app integration. Being able to share with customers instantly is also a great perk.
I love that my designs are cloud-based. I can hop on to any device including my phone and start editing.
The collaborative features allow us to work in remote teams, often on different continents and time zones. Visual communication crosses language barriers better than any other means we know of.

Inventor is a perfect tool for mechanical drawings as well as 3D mechanical models. Document production is a very important ability of Invetor.
Only downside is it does crash sometimes for no reason when opening step files.
We used it mainly for R&D, in which we find it usable with some features earning a 'good' and even a 'very good.
The platform is very memory demanding, so running the application on multiple computers caused it to crash or slow down.
Really great as the designers have the great experience using this and create the ideas into 3D models and drawings.
I did not like the fact that the program crashes a lot, i would like an autosave function so if if does crash you dont loose your work.
The visualization and rendering options offered in a well-built user environment was appreciable. This was quite advantageous for exporting visually good outputs.
It takes some time to get the look and feel of Inventor and to be able to exploit all differents functionalities.
It is a program of very good benefits when developing 3D animations, being one of the most known and used by the community of 3D designers.
Has a great deal of value in using all inventor products. The PLM system integrated with engineer works great.
The subscription-based price model and great customer support. Much better than Solidworks in this regard.
It creates cleaner lightmaps for objects than many other programs and the built-in render engine is actually surprisingly good, negating the need to export and render elsewhere, saving time.
Overall the experience has been great and Inventor is almost a necessity for anyone who works with cad drawings. All drafters and engineers will want to learn this.
I like the price, its easy to use, i like it alot overall.
In other words, it helps take the complex and break it down to where a manufacturer can get on board easily and quickly.
Ease of use and Vault integration. Makes file management easy.
Easy, powerful, accurate, fun. Just a bit pricey... oh, and you have to run it on windows.
The fact that Inventor is easy to use is a huge plus.

Fusion 360, I believe, is the best tool in its price range for 3D modeling. It is very affordable, and for the price, very powerful.
Some specific issues with parametric modeling were noticed by me. I also noticed some problems with fillets around curves.
I loved that it worked on my mac. I wound up winning two national awards while in school with designs I created on Fusion 360.
Continous updates and patches are released frequently. Some times this becomes annoying.
Fusion 360 had been really easy to learn and easy to use. The ability to have updated geometry transfer to existing geometries is super helpful.
The user interface at first can be a bit confusing, and there's a lot of unlabeled buttons that take time getting used to.
Customer service is fantastic and very prompt. They do a very good job of making sure that you are integrating to exactly your needs.
It run on cloud so you have to have an internet connection for using this. Learning can be difficult for the beginners.
It consists of many features and is not a heavy software comparing it to other cad softwares. It has always worked wonderful for me with easy usage of tools and is quite is easy to learn and explore.
And everything is saved to the cloud so it's super easy to keep track of your files and switch between devices.
Overall, it is worth the price of admission and is a great package to have with features that far out weigh the competition.
Clearly the best 3D design software for engineering-type applications. Insanely powerful parametric modeling.
Its a great software for rapid prototyping and product development. Being a cloud based software is the most extreme advantage.
The tools/commands are well labeled and represented. The work space is clean and nice.
It is best suitable for mechanical industry. Online tutorials can be found so using this is not that difficult.
There is also an active community that is great at answering questions, and a lot of YouTube tutorials put out by Autodesk and others that fully explore Fusion 360's functionality.
I like how you don't need a specific or high end graphics card to access the functionality. I also enjoy the fact that you can do work in any location and switch locations very easily.
Overall what i enjoyed the most was version control feature and the electronic design feature integrated into the software.

The best part of this software is its user interface, it's really easy to use and learn for someone using it for the first time. It's a great tool for 3D Animation and really good quality renderings.
There is no edit feature inside of the program and the working area is limited to 2km to 2km making working with large landscapes difficult.
Great quality of textures and great quality of scenes. The best feature of this software is landscaping and the rendering of walkthrough.
Also, its interface can be confusing sometimes.
It saves time for creating superb animation walkthroughs/flythroughs and stunning images.
I guess the main thing I dislike is the fact that you cant use more than one computer to render in a network. Also you cant use the software in more than one computer at the same time.
And it creates amazing Quality pictures for showing to clients, posters and all printable media.
Forms site that we import ,I cannot put it precisely in place I must put digital coordinates. It bothers me that he cannot model.
Changing the environmental conditions, weather and landscape, is easy to accomplish and interesting for the over whole rendering result without spending hours to do it.
This software has amazing rendering abilities. The newer version has a very large "animated" library that gives life to any building model we've got.
LumiOn has a very good learning curve as it is easy to learn and has very intuitive tools.
Ease of use and the ability to integrate into workflow quite easily. You can produce way faster than with traditional rendering softwares.
LimiOn's library of native resources is great, very diverse, varied and almost complete.
Photo rendering effects (shadows, contrast, reflection, water…) create a more realistic render without difficulties and video rendering features are easy to use and give a remarkable outcome.
Doesn't fulfill my expectations on 3D renderings. You have to invest a lot on a great video card if you want to have a good experience.
It is a wonderful and fast program that does not cost much time, although there are some shortcomings. I wish for more success and development.

Esasy to use, great flexibility, many function in analysis good for desgin and enginnering task great 3d engine.
I dislike how there are so many options that don't seem to apply to my job. I suppose this same thing happens with many positions though.
Being able to integrate existing SolidWorks files seamlessly was a great feature that saved the team a lot of time creating new models.
Too expensive and not scalable, bad parametrization of models, poor 2d capabilities , poor sheet metal module.
Extremely innovative software with UDF capabilities that allows for a lot of customization and very complicated simulations to be performed with relative ease.
Every tool needs license which may be expensive to get all of them. It can be hard to find the issue with your model in Fluent.
It is easy to use and the Ansys customer support is very helpful and responsive.
It is so hard to debug the TUI errors. You could spend much resource (CPU) for this kind of stuff because it takes so long time.
Overall I like ANSYS and I am comfortable using it. I am sure anyone who uses it will agree with me.
It's already a popular software for simulation. I like the way it integrated designing tools in it and every tool has a description so that new people don't find it unfriendly to use.
In general, Ansys SpaceClaim is powerful, easy to use, and reliable.
The software is wonderful for working with computational fluid dynamics and other heat transfer studies.
In general, my experience has been very satisfactory, as I have great results using the software.
A great software for virtual stress analysis. One can save a lot of prototype cost by analysing the structures virtually.
Im very pleased to use this program because my cad model operations are upon simplfying geometries. Spaceclaim make my job easy.
Space Spaceclaim is very much user Friendly and easy to understood.
I have used it for both thermal and mechanical analysis. There is also some useful online support from the community.
Ansys is unique leader in FEA Simulation space at the same time license manager 17.2 with tomcat service are more stable than any licensing services.

Alibre Design for me was a Professional MCAD software with amazing feature sets, very generous pricing and very flexible and pocket friendly upgrade options.
Lack of ability to produce models of boat hulls and project a flat pattern for hell shapes.
The price point is good. The features are very good, assemblies are seamless and fluid.
Then an update arrived and ruined the experience. I wrote to rep was on my case almost immediately.
Alibre's customer service has also been consistently very good, every question receives careful attention and an immediate helpful response.
A couple of times over the years, I've had to completely scrap a design are restart when the software would crash repeatedly.
I really like the ability to not only create individual parts, but to have the assembly capabilities.
In the 2D drawing space, it is more difficult than it should be to add hatching to enclosed areas.
It is a great product been using it for years. Very functional and powerful.
Excellent on-line tutorials a great help when starting out.
Another awesome feature is the sheet metal parts that can be created with Alibre. Then there is also the paper space mode where I am able to create detailed drawings for ordering or customer requests.
The user interface is very user-friendly and also easy on the eyes. Also moving from a 3D workspace to 2D drawing is pretty seamless.
The software is full-featured and easy to use. The purchase cost is very affordable for a small business or individual and the software maintenance is minimal.
I like that you can draw 3 dimensional parts and then assemble the parts to build a machine that can be manipulated like the real machine.
Ease of use ability to export data for machining.
There is a metal simulation portion of the software that is very useful for bending and shaping metal components with decent realism.
Also helpful during this process was Alibre's customer support team. They were easy to get hold of, and were able to work with us when we got stuck along the way.
In future I would like to integrate with CAM software, as well as FEM software in future.

SimScale was extremely easy to use, had a nice user interface, and for my purposes, was free. I liked that it was web-based because I didn't have to use my computing power on my machine.
The lack of shell elements and the lack of possibility to model composite materials. SimScale also has limited functionality when it comes to fatigue.
Also, tutorials and consultants make all the difference in terms of speed of learning. Customer service provided by the consultants in terms of responsiveness, quality and depth is outstanding.
Import of complex CAD often met with errors, SimScale did not point me in the direction of those errors in modelling.
Outputs from simulations have been encouraging for me, and the ability to download the FOAM file for my own post-processing is a great touch.
Currently only way to get this information for non-surfaces is by post processing simulation data using cutting planes. This requires more work and takes time.
Good software that do not required powerful computer as it is based on the cloud. Easy to use for someone who knows CFA software, and you can download your cad from other softwares like catia.
Not only is SimScale extremely affordable and cloud-based, but also gives you an easy to work with environment and a great onboarding so you understand how the whole platform works.
It is a great choice to start tackling CFD, it is quite good in pricing and capabilities for a CFD beginner or even for a medium-experienced one.
The direct browser integration makes it suitable for all operation systems. Having 64 cores available is very impressive.
Now, we recommend simscale for everything related to digitally assisted engineering. It is very good for working with CAD formats, and for managing graphic comments or web visualizations.
Another thing that I liked is the ease of use of the platform.
I really like the ability to create multiple simulations to run parallel. Also the large offering of post processing allows for very informational and diverse results to be presented.
I think the program seems very promising, robust and gives reliable results.
I do maybe one or two simulations a year, and it is a great, fast inexpensive relatively easy to use tool.
The Onshape "Connector" makes it easy to pull my work into SimScale, allowing for seamless analysis of collaborative projects.
When I had questions about the product I had very enthusiatic assistance from the simscale support team. I also very much enjoy the Simscale forum.

Overall it's a great software for professionals and not so much for beginners since it provides features and functionalities which is the best.
There are no prompts which explain what you are doing wrong, instead the program just crashes, leaving the user to wonder what he has to do to make the program work.
I love the ability to create an extremely complex and intricate design by utilizing microstation software.
Administration can seem confusing as there are so many different options.
It is so useful and helpful. We can get our drawing quickly I believe that Bentley's R&D is one of the best learning software in our company.
It has been a struggle as of late but from past experience i believe the bugs will all be worked out.
It's kind a tool which makes everything easier and at the end of the it matters. Great product comes with high price which everybody understands after using it.
When making the transition from autocad to micro station, there is a lot of frustration because some college students come out with decent drafting skills.
One of the best features that it has is Integration with State Departments' rules and regulations. It helps to reduce repetitive work and make it efficient for designers and engineers.
Printing quality is good. Software system is quite good.
Customer support and other facilities are excellent in microstation.
This software is super easy to use and understand.
It is the best platform for daily production. The file sizes is high and big.
I can work with all of kind of documents like dwf, ffx and pdf.
Microstation is a great CAD platform for civil engineering.
The best CAD software for companies heavily invested in Bentley ecosystem.
Also the MicroStation support team is always willing to help with quick response time.

I love the quality of the materials that you can get with V-ray, the details on things like wood or concrete are incredible.
The Object mapping is a little confusing it took a while for me to figure out how to map a skin to an object with texture.
It can be used by anyone but it's particularly useful to professionals who need all the features. It has been around over 20-years so it's robust and mature.
The only drawback is the cost, so after my paid subscription expires, I'll be returning to Blender.
The best thing about 3ds Max is that its user interface is not cluttered like other similar tools. It has a huge user community and a plenty tutorials out there.
The 3ds Max interface is intimidating and takes a little longer to learn to use.
This software allows me to proceed quicker and better than with others, allowing me to finish my project in the stablished time I have. The workflow is smooth and results great.
It's sometimes really difficult to track an error. You can be puzzled for days if you don't know what you did wrong.
All tool & 3d rendering is nice and perfect for work in the project.
It confused me at the beginning, but then I started to understand it once I used it more.
From animations for small websites to feature film, Max can handle it and many of the top tier movies you know and love were made with it. It's power can't be overestimated.
With 3ds Max you can easily create complex 3d models and maps. Best suited for architectural and game rendering that requires premium graphics.
It is very user friendly, not so hard to learn like other softwares, and for its price it can offer more than other similar softwares that are more expensive.
I am fascinated by the results that can be achieved with this software, it is very customizable down to the smallest detail, without a doubt I was quite surprised.
The software is also well-supported by a vast online community of users, providing helpful tutorials and resources.
Quality is unmatched.3rd party software integration is available.
I find this software very adaptive to architectural modeling. It is very easy to integrate your autoCAD files containing your buildings plan, and you can easily model the construction with accuracy.
I really like it, but I wish it would cost a lot less.

It is a great program to start working on these types of programs. And one of the most important feature is the ability of doing simple 2D drafting.
NO SPELL CHECK, kEYCREATOR is the only program that I know of that doesn't have spell check, engineers are notorious for being bad spellers.
There are some outstanding features of KeyCreator like being user-friendly and creation of quick drawings.
The biggest problem KeyCreator has is that the industry standard in 3D modeling has gone to Solidworks which means that Kubotek needs to be able to interface with it. That appears to be a challenge.
I use the translators on a regular bases and they are great. The price is good compared to other software in the same class.
Support is terrible updates never fix any of the core issues.
I am a tool designer and have used CADkey to KeyCreator for many years and the functionality is very friendly for me. The cost value is important a very robust package for the money.
There is a lack of organization to the the online lessons. It feels like everything was dumped into a bucket and you have to dig for something relevant to what you need.
Has just kept getting better. Does exactly what they claim and customer service is excellent and not ‘big company.
You can modify your models with ease since it is not a parametric model. The translators are excellent.
The ability to manipulate solids on the fly is a big part of what I love about the software. With my use primarily being sheet metal, unbending and creating flat cut files is extremely easy.
The ongoing training modules are very clear and helpful reducing the overall learning curve for the average user like myself.
The training tools help to understand the feature, the better you know the software feature the more productive you will be.
Having used this software for a long time I like the Classic Interface using the F keys. A person memorizes the sequence of keys and it is like playing the piano.
When I do, KeyCreator technical support will help me figure out the issue promptly.
KeyCreator - Most User Friendly but not commonly used.

I love that I can manipulate the render pretty easily and change the shadows and light. Lofting is also really fun and produces some cool stuff.
Rhino is not very good with drafting. The page layouts are a pain to navigate and numbering things, for a bill of materials for example, is incredibly painful.
Overall Rhino gets the job done and it good quality. Well worth the money to be able to produce clean renderings.
Grasshopper has some answers here, but the learning curve is very steep and time consuming. There are also times when complex surfacing commands fail for no apparent reason.
The best thing about Rhino is that it does everything well. Solids, surfaces or meshes, Rhino is great.
Too many commands for simple draft work makes the software complicated and difficult to use for the beginners.
Rhino's modeling logic is probably the best in the industry. It's easy to learn and easy to use.
It's quiet difficult to model soft goods or other Irregular objects with rhino; but that applies to most other 3D modeling software in the class.
Rhino is the best app for learning how to 3D-model. It's UX/UI are not different that other programs, which makes it easy to understand it at first sight.
Expandable through hundreds of free and premium add-ons and plugins. Integrates Grasshopper, a great visual programming language.
In the feature film industry where I work I have seen Rhino taking market share especially since they released a MAC compatible version. It simply offers the best bang for buck in the market place.
I liked how easy you can make complex shapes, that I usually had to make in other regular 3d programs. Here I just need Rhino, and I have everything I need.
Best for : Creating shell designs of products that contain many parts. It allows him to visualize the appearance of the main structure very easily by changing the places of the parts.
Great first approach to a professional 3D modeling software.
Rhinos render is pretty and easy to use. Overall this program is worth every penny however it needs some time and build to be worth to use it on Industrial Enginering actively(over Solidworks).
It integrates Grasshopper, a true game-changer in the emerging parametric / computational 3D design field.

You have to do trainings to know what great functions this software has. Also, if you know all config options and mapkeys, you can work very quick and comfortable.
Sometimes the options would get you confused as you work on because there's that much options present.
I love to design parts seamlessly and its really clean. The STL export feature is also very handy.
Software user interface is old styled , its confusing to connect with the database , file size of generated model is high.
It is a great program and they are ready to help when necessary.
It is little bit difficult to learn because of its advancement.
CREO is easy to use, friendly for beginners and the scalability of the software is very high and definitely worth for money.
I wish this software was better about telling you what's wrong in your design. Sometimes overlapping lines may not be something easily identifiable and will cause error when extruding.
It has some features, which help you to model some parts easier than the others. The drawing module looks good as well.
Automation has limitation as it follows less programing /API integartions.
PTC creo is one of the old and very popular one in engineering industry. It has been a very helpful one for students as they provide a free student version without any trouble.
Plenty functions and easy to work with others, but hard to learn the software interface and hard to use it for curvature surfaces.
I also used Standard Rendering and I was able to produce a very effective images for product catalogs. I also used Mechanism and Simulation modules and they are quite capable.
The best thing I found in this 3D Modeling software as compared to others is; the drawing options and interface is just amazing with respect to other but at the same time not much user friendly.
It integrates with WindChill database and it is easy to control the drawing versions with co-workers.
I can say though other tools are easy to learn and might seem low cost, they might not match the robustness of the Creo in terms of 3D modelling of complex geometries as well as large assemblies.

This is a good software for 3D design. It is for free and there is a great community that can give support to you, with a lot of tutorials in Youtube.
It isn't complete (e.g. there is no dimensioning readily available), and suffers from ongoing development that results in occasional crashes.
It is free and open-source and that is great for such a useful software. It is lighter that other similar software.
My problem was I don't have enough time to spend on I was working in a company and my job was not related to CAD.
This is a pretty darn intuitive parametric CAD program. I love that its open source and is maintained by a great community.
Since the environment is lite, finding the right tools to have extended functions or tasks in modeling will be a little bit difficult. So, the software might be limited in handling complex CAD files.
FreeCAD has been a Godsend for developing and evaluating my ideas and I would definitely recommend it if you are a small business with minimal or no budget for expensive CAD software.
Poor and very complicated user interface. 3D surface generation can not react that you desire.
Being a community-based free software, it's still seeing lots of improvements. Constant feedback is allowing it to better improve functionality and integration across disciplines.
The Interface can generate brief difficulty when navigating without representing major inconveniences. You may experience some unstable installation especially on Mac.
If you need a drafting tool, get this one. It’s also great to learn what CAD is, and how it can help you draft.
So, I'll recommend this software for those seeking a classic and quick CAD Drawing and Viewing experience. Thank you so very much for the elegant software.
Although free of charge, the software offered a large variety of tools and preferences, and a user friendly interface.
Overall, a good experience using this software.
The most attractive feature is that it is free to use I am not very good at designing 3D projects but Free Cad seems to be for me a good platform to teach myself.
The price is so easy and you can use all the Features in the software for a Basic Draw.
The interface takes a bit to get used to, but its not a huge curve by any means. Geometric constraints work great.
I use FreeCAD to design/integrate enclosures, and create mockups for internal use. It can't compete with SolidWorks, which I use for client work, but of course SolidWorks can't compete on the price.

Ease of use and the ability to import/export data to/from Civil 3D is easy and seamless. GeoHECRAS has one of the best support staff's that I have seen.
It's lost its licensing attributes a couple times.
The tech support is outstanding and the program itself is very intuitive and user friendly. Overall it is one of the best programs I have used since becoming a consulting engineer over 22 years ago.
There is very little to list in the line of dislikes.
The savings and convenience caused us to switch and the friendly, responsive tech service has kept us as loyal GeoHECRAS customers.
When using GeoHECRAS, I generally find that the most annoying things are native to the HEC-RAS engine rather than the GeoHECRAS interface.
Excellent HEC-RAS interface, with LIDAR processing ability and great tech service.
I don't remember to have any difficulty using this software.
I like the software and how it makes my job easier. The customer service is fantastic.
I like the variety of data that can be brought into GeoHECRAS. Also, the online library of data that can be brought in is nice as well.
Numerous features to select data from graphical input or from tabular entry of data are very helpful. The capability to merge DEM data sets with CAD or survey data is very helpful.
Training to use GeoHECRAS is very easy because their technical support team will help you at every step (something not very common for most software companies).
One of the best features is that GIS is already integrated in the software. This saves time from bringing in GIS data from scratch.
Technical Support is the best ever. They are always quick to reply to questions with a call.
I like how I can import directly from AutoCAD.
These extras features have saved time and money for our company and clients on countless projects.
The program streamlines our processes greatly in the drainage/flood study world allowing us to meet deadlines and budgets better than ever.
We extensively work with CAD and GIS files, so GeoHECRAS integrated extremely well with our company's workflow.

Overall, I am very happy with this software. Make sure you have a good graphics card in your computer, as rendering does need graphics power.
I hate how rendering makes my mac overheat. My fan goes insane and my computer becomes useless until the render is done.
Product is very user friendly and provide accurate and stunning results.
Problem with the position of the map on the model.
This tool can achieve a high quality renderings with in just a short time, has a great material library and very easy to use. Also the lightning and mabckgrounds can be set on real time.
It is some hard to rendering for general computers. When the model is get more complex, the machine can struct.
What I love most about this software is just how much you can manipulate an image.
The only bad thing is at first it is not very easy to use.
I like the fact that you can integrate certain files from similar programs, and work within Keyshot without any big issues overall.
It is cool using keyshot as external rendering software. It is a great tool to use.
Overall Keyshot is a great software that makes 3d models presentable with a variety of materials and textures.
Numerous and useful material options and plenty of options to change and customize the materials. Easy basic tools and usability.
GPU, Performance mode, and Denoise modes are perfect for variable hardware.
It is very easy to use with a million online tutorials to learn and use. I had to install few plugins and that is all it took to integrate it with my existing workspace.

For beginners this is the best software I can recommend. The website also allows you to search for other parts and incorporate them into your own creation, or just print it yourself.
At first the 3D modelling environment may frightening you. You must learn the quick keys because the navigation is hard with only a mouse.
You can save your projects in memory, and you can continue drawing whenever you want. Dragging GLB file into PowerPoint can be an impressive presentation to the audience.
I don't like that the tutorials are very small font and hard to read for younger students.
It is also great that tinkercad is updating often so not only can you 3D design, but now there is the ability to build with microbits, circuits, and more.
Some of the controls are a little difficult to use, but that might be simply because I am so new at this.
They can be creative but still hold a level of STEAM needed. It is easy to use (taught myself in a day) and it keeps the students excited to learn.
There are limited features so that I sometimes cannot find the features that I want to use in my design. As a result, you can spend too much time than expected for complex designs.
Great software easy to use and makes 3D printing really fun and easy.
I also like the ability to use it anywhere, being web based. Log in and see all your projects, work on them, save them for later.
The ease of access of 3d designing, simple yet useful "to the point" tools. I mostly liked about the simulation of arduino circuits, Its very simple to simulate the real time arduino circuits.
Overall it has been an awesome ongoing experience. My wife and I both use the product, and have linked our libraries together.
We use it for a 3D printing program, and its pretty great for kids to be able to fairly rapidly create a project and download it for 3D printing.
The price and how easy it is to use. From the second I loaded it up I was designing models.
This software is amazing. In school I was taught how to use ProE to do all ofu 3D modeling and stopped once I graduated because the software was an insane price.
A student can have a basic understanding of the software in about 30 minutes. This allows for students to rapidly see how they can use 3D shapes to create 3D designs.

Pros and Cons from progeCAD 2010 Professional users

Support by the software developer, resellers and an enthusiastic user community is of very good quality and highly appreciated especially when one gets into customization.
The stretch option does not work well if the selection window intersects lines which are deselected before stretching.
Excellent product, operates like "traditional" CAD, but with latest features. The trial version provide an excellent introduction.
Difficult to get answers sometimes; limited tech support; had to re-install to overcome one problem.
Affordable, easy to use and the "Help" is great. PDF conversion included in the program.
The most recent revision of progeCAD (10.0.10.8) is unstable and I have had to revert back to the previous version (10.0.6.23).
I would recommend progecad to anyone it is perfect fit for a very reasonable price.
ProgeCAD is less well-known (although that is changing) and is often unfairly disparaged by those who have invested in vastly more expensive CAD software.
It is a very good AutoCAD look alike and considering the cost worth putting up with the bugs.
Likewise when working with medium to huge illustrations it can crash.
The company is user friendly and has a sense of humor.
Producing final construction drawings. Provides and excellent 2D drafting software to complement our 3D building modelling software from Chief Architect and Sketchup.
The trial was a great alternative on an older machine as the requirements were not as demanding as AutoCAD.
It is cost effective and simple to understand. We can use this application for 2D drawing also for 3D.we can draft and make annotations using this.
The software is implemented in such a way that making the transition from AutoCAD to progeCAD was easy and painless.
Performs all the tasks I need at a much more attactive price. Customer support is much better as well, a bit plus.

To tell the truth, it is the best I tried and I can recommend it with a clear conscience. If you have a 3D printer - totally worth it.
The downside is that it is a paid software so it can be expensive for some people. Machine-specific configurations can be difficult to configure correctly.
I was using Cura when I started working with 3D printing technology. It is a great start for unexperienced users and provide good quality of the generated G-Code.
Some versions incompatibilities arise when upgrading causing slicing failures.
The best thing about this slicer is that it comes with premade settings for basically every printer and the quality of the program feels amazing.
Sometimes it is a little difficult to navigate as I don't totally understand all of the features yet.
The experience I've had with it is amazing it's easy to use and the prints are amazing.
Doesn't work as well on older machines as other slicing software.
Cura is my favorite slicer software because of it´s simplicity and ease to use.
Its easy to use for beginners but has capabilities for the most advanced too.
To sum up, Ultimaker Cura is the amazing software containing all utilities needed to handle the whole 3D printing process.
Great visualization of the 3D print. Intuitive and well looking UI.
Fully functional free version. Integrated functionalities covering the whole 3D printing process.
We can integrate 3D-Printing wih Ultimaker Cura Enterprise even further into our prototyping process, additionally we are far more flexible in the platforms to check on our prints.

Pros and Cons from IronCAD users

It is very easy to design a new machinery in the 3D-scene. It is a great benefit that you can design a hole assy and afterwards select how you like to have your sumassy´s and details.
Initially, our designers had some trouble understanding the command structure.
The complementary IronCAD Compose is fabulous. The student licensing program was fantastic before it was turned into a subscription-based model.
There numerous minor niggles, too many to list in this survey. There needs to be a place where suggestions and problems can be posted easily.
There was rapid learning from the onset of this app and great intuition allowed great results in a short while.
I miss some specific plastics designing tools.
When given the opportunity to show others how easy it is to use, they seem to be quite impressed. Especially over parametric software.
With minor improvements to Drawing, Draft would be redundant. I am trying summarise the problems that I have, my trouble is time to accurately describe and suggest changes.
Inovate is a great CAD translator that gives me the ability to modify and rename parts as part of the translation.
The Triball and the fact that it's an innovative, non-history based modeller that supports both ACIS and parasolid kernels. The drag-and-drop standard as well as customizable catalogs.
IronCAD is generally great to use, I hope to see continuing improvements.
Ease of use and functionality. Very easy to design what I want.
I have earned a living using IronCAD. IronCAD has allowed me to compete and win.
When I have needed assistance the customer support team has been great.
Great especially for one off projects where a traditional parametric modelling tool can become cumbersome. Viewing, alignment tools are without equal in other software.
Very good to do some rapid prototyping and get ideas to simple 3d models.
Time saving and easy modification of design at an advanced stage. Caxa link and automation to issue BOM for production and costing.
The other great thing about IronCAD is the tech support. As a self taught machinist and inventor, putting thoughts to paper was easy but my experience with CAD got me stumped a few times.

Pros and Cons from Zbrush users

Zbrush is an amazing premium tool to use that offers professional quality. My experience with Zbrush has been very positive.
The approachability for new users is is quite bad.
As I said, for me it is the best software for organic modeling, it has a great variety of tools and when using a graphics tablet the software becomes even more incredible.
Its interface becomes a little confusing when you have a first contact with the software.
I like how sculpting in Zbrush is so good in comparing with other software.
ZBrush main drawback is it's poor UI and overabundance of workflow idiosyncrasies.
Intelligent cross platform design and functionality. Helps us get the job done in the best way efficiently and effectivly.
Unintuitive UX being the worst offender. The price is still not that high compared to Maya, but it is probably still quite a lot for a lone developer.
Great set of tools for decimation and voxel remeshing. Powerful and efficient software capable of displaying millions of points without performance issues.
It's more difficult to create block models than it is to create high resolution models. Block models require a different approach.
The UI has become very easy to use and looks less dense than before. Zbrush has amazing transform and sculpting tools that I use to create characters and objects.
The best feature of Zbrush is its customizable brushes that can sculpt, texture, and paint complex and realistic 3D models.
The tool is incredible for 3D creation and modelling. Definitely worth the price if you can afford it.
It's takes time to learn the systems but once you get a hang of it you can produce exceptional quality models. Besides the price Zbrush is a great tool for high poly work.
