Persistent glitches and errors

81% of reviewers feel negative about CMiC’s bugs and issues. Users report frequent glitches, error messages that lack helpful guidance, and system instability that disrupts their workflow. Reviewers indicate that troubleshooting is challenging due to settings being scattered across multiple locations, and they often face unresolved problems for extended periods. Some users say that patches can introduce new issues, and they find the software outdated and clunky. They express frustration with ongoing technical problems, double entry requirements, and the lack of timely support for resolving these persistent issues.

Learning curve and usability

76% of reviewers feel positive about CMiC’s ease of use. Reviewers appreciate that, after an initial adjustment period, the software becomes intuitive and streamlines daily tasks. They say the system’s flexibility allows them to tailor it to their workflows, making job management and organization more straightforward. Users indicate that the interface is user-friendly for both beginners and experienced users, with clear panels and layouts that help them navigate tasks efficiently. Some reviewers feel that once they become familiar with the software, it significantly reduces the complexity of their work processes.

Project Engineer

That everything is able to link to each other, such as RFI's, change orders, plans and documents. Although it is a bit slow.

Service Coordinator

It’s powerful, reliable, and great for job‑costing and financial accuracy, but it does require training and disciplined processes to get the most out of it.

Controller

Also, the standard financial reports available our lacking in the ability to customize.

My company went live with CMiC in the beginning of 2025 and my employment began July 2025.

Additionally, being able to have some customization is great.

Overall I think the system is good just needs to be faster and more seamless.

Project Manager

It is not as user friendly as other software we have seen.

It has been challenging for everyone involved to get the system set up and understood.

We don't expect a smooth rollout, but are hopeful that six months in we will be in a better place.

Accountant

This was a mistake which was realized after about 6 months but by then it was too late to switch back.

You need a lot of tutoring on this system because it is not easy to navigate.

freelancer

The most good thing about CMIC is the availability of integrated project management in the construction industry

Planning Manger

by using CMiC in your projects, you'll be able to track the progress of the project tasks, as well as the reasons for delays, so that we can arrange all of the project's activities more effectively.

By documenting everything you issue or receive, you ensure that you know everything about the project and can then devote yourself to addressing lingering issues and directing your team in a proper manner.

ERP Strategic Director

The user interface could be better, but you have lots of controls to clean it up if you know what you are doing.

It can be time consuming and expensive to try to fix the system later.

Payroll Specialist

We are staying with CMiC for all our construction needs, just moving payroll and HR to Paycom.

The most comprehensive functionality at a great price.

Chief Estimator

This software was in operation when i joined the company and the internal IT department messed with it on a weekly basis to try to modify a round peg into a square hole.

Many construction companies our size were dying to get something like it.

No cell were auto populated - everything had to be entered multiple times

Way too complicated for simple procedures
