Contractor Foreman has been a decent software for our company once we figured out how to use it. Setting up projects was a much different process than we were used to with our previous software. It doesn't have quite all of the features we'd like for tracking certificates of insurance and things of that nature, but we are a niche construction type company; we are a small business working large Government...
The cost is the biggest pro for this software. For the price, you can't beat it. It does an adequate job tracking the things we need to track, and the scheduling tool is great.
This software was very difficult to implement for our type of construction business. We do a lot of Government projects that require tracking unique items and obtaining different forms that we do electronically that we need our site superintendent able to track as well as office staff. The way to create the forms is difficult to figure out, and the formatting doesn't hold from one screen to the next so we get random spaces and periods in the finished product.
Thank you Sarah for the review. We do allow you to track certificates of insurance, GLI, and much more. It also sends notifications to you and the contractor (if you enable it). Can you provide more detail on which other tracking features you need? Thanks!

Tgey lie about there pricing and steal your data
That why I stopped using it
Company refuses to give me some job data I left on the app unless I pay them. Horrible customer service and app is very buggy keeps trting to open itself all the time. Housecall Pro is way better and less expensive.
The claims that Zeke is making are lies. He cancelled the account and later asked if he could login. We told him that accounts cannot be accessed unless they are active and associated with an active subscription. It doesn't matter if you go with us or someone else - if you plan to cancel, download your data before you cancel.

It has taken quite a lot of hours to get things rolling properly, but we are finally starting to feel the benefits of the program. It is overly customizable which is a pro if you know the program very well. Starting out, it can be very hard to use basic functions.
I like the crew scheduling module, it has been an easy way to schedule my team and send it out. Directory and customer info has been easy to use and I like how it auto populates across the site.
The files and photos module is overly complicated to use and view. It needs to be simplified and more easily edited. I'd like to see previews of PDFs more easily, rename files more easily and drag and drop files and photos like any other file storage system. The calendar feature is okay. Team members or events should be able to be color coded on the calendar so that you can visually see where tasks...

This was a waste of money.I was told at the beginning that I could change my mind within the first few weeks if I learned that it was not the right service for me. So I quickly reached out the Houzz- upon hearing from colleagues in my field- and they wouldn’t refund my money. In order to make up for the lost funds, we will have to complete a job that is outside of our business set: Building a deck/patio rather than culinary raised bed gardens.
It has a lot of functionality. Would work well for a landscaper/contractor in general business models
It doesn’t market to my specific niche.
Hi Sarah, please do contact me so we can help make this right for you. Chloe

I have used this forum for over 7 years and have been very pleased. It all started with a small presentation that was put on in Grand Rapids, MI.
I am able to upload photos of my projects and my customer reviews add credibility myself as a contractor.
The newer PRO is too technical for me and I don't have the time to be that involved.
Hi, Barry, thank you for your review. Please feel free to follow up with me directly or with your dedicated client success manager so that we can help you feel confident when using all Houzz Pro has to offer. -Isaiah Brown, Houzz Pro Community Manager

As a Remodeling Contractor, I like the fact that a lot of homeowners who want to remodel their home, go to HOUZZ for ideas and recommendations.
That I am rarely on the first page of featured contractors

My overall experience with Houzz Pro is quite good. It is robust enough yet simple enough to work for this small contractor.
I like the timeline, the tasks section, the daily logs (super easy to use, including pictures - my clients are loving this). I am starting to use the budgeting and estimating side and I like it so far.
There are a few small hiccups with how information is communicated with subs and vendors, but I fully expect this to get better in the near future. Houzz is constantly adding new features. I don't like not being able to view the timelines on mobile devices. Add this functionality please!

Overall, as I've said previously, the website that they built for me was the only value that I got from Houzz. And in my opinion, that's the only benefit. Our money is better spent in marketing we can trust in
If you need a website created and maintained, I think the service and the quality are fair for the price. Especially if your contractor. Builder remodeler. However, if you are an interior designer, I think it might be a good vehicle for Leeds.
It will take you signing up for a year contract and paying them to learn that it is not a good return on your investment. it cost us over $8000 to learn that it was just $8000 wasted for the year. However, after the first year, they did offer me a lower price to continue for another year. I refused, as that would've just been additional lost revenue and no return on our investment. Their sales team is simply just that. People trying to sell you on the idea that you're going to get a return on your investment when in reality they could care less all they're trying to do is make a sale. They have no long-term attachment other than the original sale.
While we are happy to hear that you had a great experience with our Website Design team, we are sorry to hear that you did not receive a return on the leads that your marketing program generated. There are a variety of reasons that may have impacted the quality of leads including the settings on your account and quality of photos as well as testimonials on your account, your dedicated Client Success Manager was assigned to ensure success on your program. While it is difficult to say if this was a result of the right types of inquiries or other reasons why these jobs weren't closed - we would welcome your feedback if we could have made your experience better. Please don't hesitate to call us at (888) 316-6960. We look forward to speaking with you.

Horrible and have been lied to mis lead and the first time i started i had to do everything my self contractors should be aware of this contact me any contractor to find out the real truth
I like the fact they use small businesses to thrive off of
They are not straight forward when you dont have leads you are bullied into a year contract and the leads are not solid the screening process is horribly wrong
We are sorry to hear that you have not seen a return on your investment and we would like the opportunity to work with you and see how we can help. Our marketing plans are indeed a 12 month commitment and that should appear on your annual agreement. Our team is confident that there may be additional options we can explore to assist you so please call us at (888) 316-6960 and we would be happy to help.

Did a trial again of this software in hopes to use it for my business. But being in Canada and the software still doesn't have Quickbooks Integration, nor does it have prebuilt estimate templates. Would definitely use this software as it has everything a contractor needs

Houzz pro works but it takes allot of time and patience to develop and portfolio over time. Its downsize is the tire kickers who do not anwser phones are emails making it a not so great experience for the contractor.
The software reaches a board audience with an algorithm designed to place your photos and services to a customer based on the amount a company wants to pay. It's like buying TV time in a super bowl ad. For this purpose it serves as a ad campaign . You really are buying space on the website.
The down side to the software is it has allot of bells and whistles that seem great like the CRM and project management but do not get used if you do not have allot of traffic or customers. Once you get a lead, you MUST call and email numerous times to get the attention of the customers. There is allot of tire kickers which make it difficult to manage time to whom the real serious customer is within the leads. The answer from Houzz on this problem is the old school mentality of relentless calling of the lead. It would be nice to see a change to the software to weed out the less serious customers . The service offered is good in theory but is expensive if I have to constantly email and call a customer that really is not interested .

The learning curve on Houzz Pro was pretty simple to get going, however being a deconstruction contractor in which the program was not designed for it has taken a few years to get it adapted for me and I still have a ways to go it seems.
With Houzz Pro I'm able to manage my customers and projects with efficiency and stay highly organized. Using the takeoffs side of the program I have been able to develop standards in my estimating and templates to speed up the process.
The customer section is built for working with one client per project. I'm a deconstruction subcontractor that works with big General contractors that have multiple project managers, and estimators that I work with. That part gets complicated for me at times.
Hi Brandon, thanks for the feedback. I totally hear what you are saying given your client is the GC firm - we are working on this and would love to speak with you directly - please let me know if we can connect, sending my email. Liza

Good---need to qualify the users to contact us with a REAL need and not something like 6 months away or even 1 year out---really who can price something like that in our current times...and it ends up being a waste of time for me. Also if I cannot get someone on the phone or text to get back in touch with me WHY would I pass it along to another contractor---that one really does not work for me---I would rather "expire" them from my file.
Keeps good records and something that I can refer to often.
Some of the changes do not fit my needs.
Thank you for your recommendation, Mark! We're glad to hear you're enjoying Houzz Pro and would like to hear more about some of the changes you find irrelevant so we can help make your experience a perfect 5/5. -The Houzz Pro Team

Our purpose in using Houzz Pro was to bring in quality leads. That was the only function we desired to use it for, bringing us leads that fit our business model. Our hope was that Houzz Pro would filter out leads that weren't a good fit, and connect us with people who were a good fit. That's two separate objectives, and Houzz Pro isn't meeting either of those. Most of the leads we get are not looking to hire at all, or they aren't looking to hire a company like ours. They're looking to hire directly, not work with a general contractor.
Houzz Pro has a good look and is constantly updating it's capabilities.
Some of the newer features are more about Houzz doing something, than creating a product that connects quality leads with professionals. They make a lot of noise and do a lot of things, but no one really benefits. Concierge services, especially has been very unhelpful. Also, they way Houzz Pro redesigned it's format is not as user friendly for our objectives.
Hi Sarah- Thank you for your review. We sincerely appreciate your feedback. Someone will be in touch with you shortly to see how we can improve your experience. Thank you, The Houzz Team

Overall, it has been an okay experience. The program is good but in the 4 years I have been paying I have only had 1 prospective client become a client and completed a project. I think that the idea is to pay more to get more areas but so far, I have not been able to the money I have invested in Houzz.
I like that the program is easy to use. [sensitive content hidden], my sales rep has made all the difference and always convinces me to keep renewing the membership. She is very prompt to reply all of my questions.
I feel that most of the clients are not serious about their projects. It bothers me that I take the time to reply to their inquiry and they do not even acknowledge it. When I call sometimes, they act surprised. It would be great to ask the prospective client how serious or if they are just searching for ideas.I have met with several prospective clients, and I feel they just wanted my ideas and then...
