Estimator

It provides us with accurate information from the field, and people on the field get information from us at the office, so for us is a very efficient communication tool.

Project Engineer

Its real-time update features allow for smooth flow of Project.

Everyone is connected, and we are all able to see in real time what is going on in each project, from daily logs, to notes and marks on plans.

Owner

I pin drawings and notes, and it saves a lot of back-and-forth.

Estimator/PM

It allows me to capture all of the changes that the design team makes, even if they "forget" to mention it in their write-up.

For an estimator, the document "Compare" feature is the most important.

Production Coordinator

You have to either take a photo or use one previously uploaded.

It is missing a few features that interest me but they are supposedly in releases down the line.

Also needs to have a contact list where you can have customers in the list and then be able to link them to jobs or different tasks so if someone needs to contact a supplier about a delivery, they can easily see who they need to call.

We use man power & cost to track all sorts of things such as the size of a repair or the quantity of steel used. If we would be able to change the title of these it would be a massive help especially to those new to the projects, with helping their understanding of  how our systems work.

Estimator/project manager

I love the precision picture taking, "on the spot" notifications for every member when changes to projects are made, easy note-taking on top of plans and task managing.

Field Engineer

Great that you can track tasks from text messages, emails, images, attachments, etc... Like video option but would like to see that available outside of tasks 7 attach to plan functions on all platforms even PC.

Chief Estimator

The feature I least like about Fieldwire is not being able to label our construction plans with the same number/description when they are in separate folders.  

Operations Manager

I feel like it should have the ability to set a time a task is due to be done and have Fieldwire send a reminder if a task has not been completed by due date.  

Architect

I typically make a pdf and import into another software for drawing or taking notes; however, I would prefer to make handwritten notes within the Fieldwire application.

Not to mention the ability to link plans, RFIs, files, and forms to ensure small details and changes aren't missed.

I use a Android Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5g, images are horribly compressed and sometimes looked pixelated. Yet with my iphone 6 (several years old) images look regular.

Project Manager

RFIs cannot be created through the software.

I really enjoy using this program and will recommend it to all my follow roofers.

I've used this for accessing drawing files while on site with the contractors and documenting items on punch lists.

The tasks allow for project tracking, documentation, and knocking out your punch list.

It will not allow saving a copy of files on the android device and always says "saving failed" Other than that, the platform is solid so far.

The ability to link associated drawings and details to floor plans saves a huge amount of time every day.

I have a full document folder and drawings accessible on my phone in 3 clicks and its always up to date

It can be a little tricky getting used to how to name drawings so they a uploaded as a new revision rather than a new drawing but its nothing you cant get past

Construction Administrator

The use of voice dictation to create punch list items speeds up the process significantly.

Their forms tab is a great way to ensure paperwork such as check sheets.

The customizable reports that can be issued to my team and the contractor's team are easy to read and you can input any type of information you can think of.  

Their needs to be a better organizational structure for uploading images to fieldwire via app.

Experience using this software as far as tracking purposes is very good.

Should be able to search by date range of when image taken or file uploaded as well.

Currently this software is limited for my use for field reports and punch lists.

Images should be searchable and attachable to files without them originally taken within a Fieldwire Form .

There should be a batch photo placement for taking photos placed on the plan

I presume this is because of the local connection speed or the device we use to view the files.

Creating a new project, especially naming all the shots one by one, is atrocious sometimes.

Should be easier to export or print directly from application, rather than sending a web link via email.

Photo documentation and daily reports are the easiest and best

Overall, Fieldwire has many features our office can utilize but we are still in trial phase for it.

I used to have to keep physical plan sets for multiple projects.

Auto desk is a great software and we love when contractors use it with large commercial jobs.

I often work with other offices and the cloud service is very easy to use and it can be used with many devices.

Although the platform’s outages are rare, they can significantly disrupt our operations due to our reliance on its central data repository.

Requires communication with the Autodesk Team to learn the software and the ability to remove unwanted Revit Models/ Projects.

To top it all of you will get an (lousy) email, but it refers you to a completely different(?) cloud solution off Autodesk. That what I told the customer service happened.

What I like best about autodesk construction cloud is that it is very easy to store and share documents across teams.

Abit of Lag when working on big projects which is understandable seeing as you are working on the Revit Model between multiple users.

Overall, very good; had hiccups early on but ACC has devoted more resources and server support to ensure that interruptions are infrequent and that user requests are addressed accordingly.

I worked more or less with Autodesk Construction Cloud for a year and what I liked the most about this tool was the perfect integration it had with other Autodesk products, such as AutoCAD and Revit, thanks to this it facilitated collaboration and the exchange of information between equipment.

In addition, its 3D analysis and visualization function allowed us to have a clearer and more detailed vision of our projects, improving decision-making and thus minimizing errors during the design and construction stage.

It was such an bad experience I feel betrayed by them. When it is working correctly it is a nice program, however. When you have a question you get coupled to people with little to now knowledge about the program.

I think that in BUILD the way the sheets are organized can be improved, recently you did an update on a way of organizing called collection, it's not bad, it has given me the way to find the shop drawings sets more easily, but after they are in the collection folder that I have created and I cannot take the sheets out from there again, you should create a simpler way to be able to locate the version set more easily, because it gets complicated when I have many, I take them out at least a week 8 shop drawings set, imagine there are around 32 minimum sets per month, it has been difficult for us on many occasions to find a particular set, that is, more than a filter is needed, so it is better to be able to organize by folders.
