Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.

Inspection Logging overview
What is Inspection Logging?
Inspection Logging is a cloud based facility inspection software solution designed for multi-site teams that maintain compliance records, track asset inspections, and manage service documentation across multiple locations. The platform consolidates inspection workflows, certificate management, asset repair tracking, scheduled reminders, and audit-ready reporting in a unified system. It serves facilities and compliance teams operating in regulated industries such as healthcare and life sciences, primary and secondary education, higher education and research, government and public sector, property management, commercial real estate, logistics and distribution, oil and gas and energy, data centers and critical infrastructure, food and beverage manufacturing, chemical and industrial manufacturing, and hospitality and entertainment.
The platform provides inspection management capabilities that support more than twenty pre-configured service types including automated external defibrillators, backflow preventers, carbon monoxide detectors, elevator fire recall systems, emergency generators, emergency lighting, exit signs, eyewash and safety showers, fleet vehicles, fire alarm monitoring, fire protection equipment, fire pumps, fire sprinkler systems, kitchen hood suppression systems, medical bags and first aid equipment, smoke detection and control systems, stairwell pressurization systems, and standpipe systems. Subscription tiers include options to add custom service types and inspection checklists that address unique organizational requirements. Inspection Logging employs a three-step workflow that begins with location and asset inventory setup, continues with employee-run inspection checklists featuring mobile data capture with consistent steps and timestamps, and concludes with generation of audit-ready PDF reports.
All subscription levels include inspection logging with photo attachment capabilities, asset repair tracking, employee-run checklists, PDF exports for each location, and automatic reminders for upcoming and overdue tasks. Higher-tier subscriptions extend data export options to include comma separated values files and support multi-year audit logs. They also include bulk inspection passes that attach a single certificate to multiple assets and support document branding with custom logos, fonts, and banners. Advanced subscription plans add extended audit log retention, custom reminder scheduling based on organizational lead-time requirements, configurable data retention policies, selectable data export types and formats, and two-factor authentication for secure access and record protection.
The cloud based architecture supports secure remote access and offline inspections with automatic synchronization of data upon restoration of connectivity. Mobile compatibility ensures field personnel can capture real-time inspection data, photographic and video evidence, and GPS coordinates for location-based tracking. Automated reporting and analytics tools deliver compliance insights and simplify preparation for regulatory audits. Integration capabilities enable data exchange with external systems through application programming interfaces while multi-user collaboration tools allow teams to share, review, and edit inspection records in a controlled environment.
