Engineers can automate the designing of building components using custom or generic templates. CATIA allows construction professionals to modify and validate projects based on planning specifications or client requirements and perform daylighting simulation and shadow duration analysis. It enables electrical engineers to design wire harnesses and cabling, check design quality, and synchronize electrical design elements into 3D forms. Using CATIA, fluid engineers can build and optimize designs for rigid or flexible tubing, piping, and HVAC systems. The application also helps coordinators import 3D models in industry-standard file formats, review designs for geometric issues, and geolocate construction and infrastructure projects.
