What is Mastercam?
Mastercam is a 3D computer-aided design (CAD) platform designed to help businesses create and design manufacturing equipment using various built-in tools with 2D programming, multi-axis machining, wire models, and more. Managers can analyze and change UV directions across surface models and use the Advanced Drill toolpath for deep drilling processes.
Mastercam's Chamfer Drill toolpath drills holes into machinery after calculating depth based on required width, lets supervisors select holes with specific diameters or sizes, and processes them in a single operation. Computer numerically controlled (CNC) programmers can model, combine and process CAD geometry using various modeling tools. The system also supports multiple file formats such as JPG, TIFF, and more.
Mastercam enables businesses to create parametric surfaces, analyze curvature and use the drafting functionality with dimensions, labels, and notes. Its simulation capabilities also allow managers to detect collisions between machine components.
