However, I find the UI to be very dated, clunky, and challenging to use.

Since it is a desktop based product, it requires frequent updates and must be installed on the machine of the users who need to use it.

The ability to quickly deploy the software in a browser has made it an extremely versatile application.

A) UI: the interface engine is completely outdated for a modern app, is not that you can't build beautiful UI, you can, as far it does not require real responsiveness and conditionals. When a layout (page) needs to have a dynamic interface, which means conditionals for show/hide elements and adapt the rest of the elements, you just can't.

We've used this for years and will likely continue and I have personally used this for many projects to make database create and cataloging of items easy.

Claris FileMaker provides a set of tools that improve remote workflow management.

Their emails asking for payment are completely blank emails from a suspicious email address, with an attachment.  

For nowadays the web design moved to dynamic UI where less is more, if you want an interface to be easy to read and understand, you really need to show less data at the same time, for that you need dynamic and flexible UI, which is not possible to build with Filemaker.

Flexibility, Ease of Use - This software makes it easy for almost anyone to develop a business solution.    When I started using it, I had never done any development and still found the software intuitive.    As I learned development in other platforms, I fully realized the brilliance in their UI.

They then sent those blank emails a couple more times and today started threatening to send the account to debt collectors.

Over the years they have made significant improvements and added many new features that I have yet to fully explore. But one thing I really like about FileMaker is that you can create a vast array of layouts (different data) from the same records without having to fiddle through sort features.

You can create databases and stores and more with this software; it's very flexible.

In fact, we reverted back to version 18 for our production environment because of slowness issues.  

B) Data access/constraint: relations in the database are made in a way (classic relations between tables) that while is intuitive and easy to understand, is very difficult and limited for big and complex relations. Why?
