There is so much information held within the database that it took a while to find out where it was in order to run the correct report.   Once you are used to the navigation then the reporting is much easier.

The team are always on hand if there is a query and [sensitive content hidden]  is brilliant at sending loom videos which visually shows how to do certain tasks.

The system is incredibly clever and is always being updated so my one draw back, if any, is that there are some functions which require a lot more time to get to grips with and require more attention to detail.

Toucan was built as a bespoke "all in one" system when they recognised many of the alternatives were slow moving or just repurposing more generic systems.

This means they are still developing some integrations with third parties, but we have always found an option that works.

Integration between  third party payment providers and customer records was a little problematic but the data team resolved a complex issue through a combination of perseverance and in depth knowledge.

The daily automated emails you can set up are great and the data stored is easy to access and report on.

Our account manager has worked in a school before so knows exactly what we need and can always see things from our perspective.

The wide range of functionality sometimes means a lack of flexibility

I sometimes struggle with the design elements -- however, the team are giving me lots of support with that.

The system is very easy to use and suits small teams like ours, with colleagues needing to wear multiple hats.

Also the design team have been very helpful in totally changing the look and feel of the site for the better.

We are an early customer of Toucan Tech and started working with them about 6 years ago when we decided to implement our first alumni software.

Toucan could have more payment integration to enable less costly payment methods like direct debit or bank transfers.

ToucanTech is a great product with a user-friendly front-end and back-end interface which is far better than other providers.

The experience has been very positive and every staff member from our account manager through to designers and the support team have been extremely helpful and easy to deal with.

The filters have a great user interface and are easy to use, especially for anyone with little/no database management experience.  

The Events feature is great, it has really helped me plan, organise, track attendance and promote our events.

The Fundraising section is excellent and direct payments updates the record automatically saving time and resource.

Being able to mass update fields and custom fields would help remove administrative burdern.

The Resources section, with digitized yearbooks, is also very popular, as are the Photo Galleries.

The staff are always outwardly proud of their work and what they can achieve and very helpful to any enquiry no matter how big or small.

Although "glitches" appear in the software from time to time, even this "down arrow issue" is usually dealt with speedily and efficiently.
