What I like least about TUIO is that sometimes the email notifications can feel a bit frequent or repetitive, especially when there are multiple updates or reminders in a short time.

The system only allows us to connect the account to one email address when a number of our clients have 2 emails associated with their account.

Communication from the school is clear and organized, all in one place. While there’s some room for improvement with notification settings and interface design, the benefits far outweigh any minor issues.

The automated messaging and reminders of withdrawals, missed payments, new charges etc., keeps the client families aware.

I love getting timely reminders and being able to pay fees quickly from my phone or computer.

There are some aspects that are not as intuitive as they should be (such as resending an activation email or the fact that an "active" parent does not mean that they are fully onboarded), but setting up payment plans and enrolling students was fairly easy.

That I cannot send customized reminders for missed payments.

There was a little bit of a learning curve to create forms and use some of the features.

For families who have split households or get help from relatives or subsidy programs, etc., this adds an undue burden which feels discriminatory.

Also, I would like more options to rearrange the the list in the enrollments (such as by last name, first name, paid, pending payment, etc as these are not available in enrolments tab). And you can only check overdue only in invoices tab, but I would like to see them in enrollments, too.

The only thing I would change is adding the ability to create a group, say the "1st grade" group of 14 students, so I can select that group and send an invoice to all 14 at the same time, instead of having to enter their names individually.

Master Guide

Advanced reporting capabilities, including detailed financial analysis, reconciliation reports, and customizable report templates, may be lacking in TUIO.

The communication features are also a great bonus as everything feels streamlined and professional.

TUIO's entire package of Enrollment Management, Student Information System, and Payments was especially appealing because we never had to accept credit or debit cards.

TUIO provides peace of mind and convenience that every busy parent needs.

Also when we enter student details TUIO only generates invoice with one parent name so if the other parent wants to get a FSA credit from work they are unable to do so and we have to give them a manual invoice.

I would say the security of the software appears to be top notch.

I particularly like the tax receipt feature, which saves me time every year.

The accounting export requires more massaging of spreadsheet output, and the difference in time zones also made it more confusing for some of our less tech savvy users.

It is affordable for our small school, and doing it by transaction means that we have to pay less when we have fewer transactions (and less money to pay a monthly fee).

Next, we plan to add a registration piece, where parents and students will fill out their registration information directly into the system, something we don't currently have.

All round, during the 3 years we have been using TUIO, the experience has been awesome, saving time and effort as well as a wonderful team of people to work with.

TUIO has cut my administrative hours in half when it comes to enrollment, tuition processing, and following up on overdue invoices.

Also, their parent/student contact information fields are rigidly set to (XXX) XXX-XXXX format, which does not fit our foreign customers.

The inability to link data, to see the student I’d - every time we need to pull new data to see the student ID.

All payments are traceable and can easily be tracked.

Because of its affordability and user-friendliness, Tuio is the best tuition management program out there.

The software is easy to use and has a lot of features that make it a great tool for managing school finances.

They made the setup process very easy and made it easy for parents to contact outside help instead of going through me.

Some parents have a harder time with this learning curve.

It’s clear that TUIO understands what busy parents need.

They're quick to address concerns or answer any questions.  

They have said they are working on creating the ability to have subscription plans, so once that is done, this will no longer be a problem for us.--We do a substantial percentage of our payments through PayPal, but they don't have a way to incorporate PayPal, so we have to enter PayPal transactions as cash, which is not convenient.--While Tuio is mostly easy to use, some things here and there are not intuitive.

Highly recommend to schools, summer camps and anyone in need of a CRM with payment processing capabilities.

The system has not been updated to add our EIN number to the invoices which is necessary for tax credits for parents.

I wish there was a separate column for bounced payments/nsf's
