I think that the accounting needs help, in that I should be able to show past due accounts as past due, and be able to add interest and send reminder emails easily, but I cannot.

To make it work I have to click around to a bunch of different pages and emails, and eventually it works. When I called support about this, they told me that it is probably because I'm using Outlook desktop as opposed to the online version of Outlook. But here's the thing: I don't like the online version of Outlook, and I would think Clio would put some resources into making sure their add-in works on the desktop version too. If the conscious decision is being made not to allocate resources to the desktop version of Outlook, that's disappointing.

It takes an excessively long time to file emails.   If you try to file emails  as you go, your flow is completely thrown off because you have to wait minutes sometimes for one email to file.   If you wait until the end of the day, it can take more than a hour just to file email.

I have been trying to contact them and first, we can be in the phone for a while, second, they will not be able to help me on the first call, seems like the customer service it is not very familiar with the app.

Clio tech support is worthless and is never aware of any issues brought up to them about the software, no matter how debilitating the issue may be, and they endlessly put you on hold to "talk ton their team" while stalling and asking for more screenshots of the issue, only to tell you a week later that they can't help you.

Everything I need to manage my firm is in one place, billing, calendaring, document management, a secure client portal, workflows and templates.  

Clio integrates our law practice so anyone can be logged in at anytime and access a patient's file and see their medical reports and accident photos and see the client's status.

Clio has a full case/client management system in the cloud, with additional features to add the ability to draft court forms, create your own  formatted and drafted pleadings, it has the ability to eFile, record the time and expenses in and Bill to clients.

The integrated workflow across intake, case management, document drafting, and billing has been transformative for my practice.

The client-facing features like payment links, portals, and scheduling tools also make things feel more streamlined and professional for clients.

It allows you the convenience of being able to touch case files more often without having to read through every single page that could be in a physical file.

The platform made it easy to manage client communications, my calendar, billing, documents, and case tasks efficiently without needing multiple systems.

We didn't label all of the clients as clients when we went in so when we merged clio with a 3rd party software to send marketing emails, many insurance company contacts came up instead of only clients.

Navigation: Matter pages act as a central hub where everything — documents, notes, tasks, time entries, billing — is connected.

The templates offered are not that robust, and there was no option for direct output to Microsoft Word or RTF.  To effectively use Clio, one really has to know a lot about editing PDFs.

Having matters, documents, billing, calendar items, and client communications all easily accessible has made my management process much more straightforward.

The inability to inform clients that the office is closed and to place limits on when clients can text you via Clio communication.

Document management and AI features to help analyze and review internal documents with fast results.

The time tracking integration with billing is particularly valuable; I'm capturing hours accurately as we work rather than reconstructing time logs later.

Name searching is sometimes very specific when linking emails, and at times, even correctly enters accounts that do not populate for linking.

What I least like about Clio is the ability to not view custom live reports with visual graphs or charts.
