I think that the accounting needs help, in that I should be able to show past due accounts as past due, and be able to add interest and send reminder emails easily, but I cannot.

Cumbersome email integration experience

To make it work I have to click around to a bunch of different pages and emails, and eventually it works. When I called support about this, they told me that it is probably because I'm using Outlook desktop as opposed to the online version of Outlook. But here's the thing: I don't like the online version of Outlook, and I would think Clio would put some resources into making sure their add-in works on the desktop version too. If the conscious decision is being made not to allocate resources to the desktop version of Outlook, that's disappointing.

It takes an excessively long time to file emails.   If you try to file emails  as you go, your flow is completely thrown off because you have to wait minutes sometimes for one email to file.   If you wait until the end of the day, it can take more than a hour just to file email.

Now, you still get emails in response, but the emails are more of the scripted/lip service type and most issues do not get resolved at all, including critical issues relating to basic features that used to work fine in the past. As I am not an insider to Clio, I am not sure what the reason is, but from many recent interactions with Clio support and their answer, it seems to me that there is no one at Clio who has their hand on the pulse or any control over the "technical team" or the "development team".

Timeslips takes time to imput data, use and customize.   But once you set up your system and create what you need, it speeds up your billing process and enables you to create very accurate billing records, and template vast amounts of information for subsequent use.

The service and technical assistance providers generally come up with serviceable solutions and are very courteous and responsive, and I like the feature in which they send transcripts of the conversations after so I can use them and effect further repairs as needed.

I would hate to have the expense of recreating my database, and while other programs indicate that they can translate my old database and copy it, I am comfortable with the software, although the increased expense and limited utility of the last several years of updates makes me assess how much longer it will be before I switch to a competing program at a lower price.

Templates that we created to optimize a variety of client billing needs, have been inconsistent.   Although we have chosen the exact same customized template for several clients, the invoice appearance from client to client is not the same.

When our company began using TimeSlips the fee was a reasonable flat annual fee. When Timeslips started charging per user the fee is extremely high.   Since we had been using the product for many years our database is large to convert to another timekeeping program.

A suggestion that would help to save time when preparing the invoice billing is, to have the ability to hold or bill multiple time or expense entries all at once.
