Some areas feel less flexible than expected, such as reporting, fine customization, and a few workflow details.

I first started using TaxDome as an employee of a tax firm. When I started my own business, it was a no-brainer that I would use TaxDome, because I knew its capabilities and how it would make running my business that much easier.

It keeps all their information at hand. When they need a copy of their return, no need to contact me, just print. If they lost their W-2.

The only downside is that it requires time upfront to learn and adapt the system to your firm’s processes. But that investment pays off in the long run.

It is especially helpful for keeping files, requests, and deadlines organized across many clients.

Notifications can get noisy, and performance can occasionally feel slow when moving between clients or large documents.

Invoicing and e-signature features are built-in, which saves time and reduces the need for multiple software subscriptions.

Its hard for me to say what I like least about TaxDome because as I've mentioned the architecture allows you to use what you need and pretty much skip the complexity or functionality that you dont.

This makes it harder to quickly track which clients have recurring payments set up.

The left-hand side bar navigation doesn't feel very organized to me, the TaxDome drive doesn't integrate with Mac, there is no way to make a folder private from all other users in the firm, it only integrates with 2 credit card processors, so I had to switch away from the processor I really like.

What I like most about Tax is the CRM system and also the document management enable to give and store clients documents or they’re able to get instant access to their things without asking me for consistently

Limited and inflexible payment options

Neither Stripe nor CPA Charge is a good payment processor solution, there's pros to each and I can't mix/match between them for credit/bank transactions as I'd want to use one for each.

The are a few options that can get confusing, and there's only the option to use stripe, but I use QB payments and can't integrate it with the software.
